Walls and floors are unique spaces that can broadcast your branding messages. CS has numerous products designed for window and floor applications.

Office and retail wallspace can incorporate permanent or temporary graphics. Custom, die cuts are optional on most materials.

Below we’ve detailed our most popular wall & floor materials and applications. There are many more materials available than we can mention here.

Pressure Sensitive Vinyl (PSV)PSV is an adhesive-backed product that is easily applied to any smooth, clean surface. It is available in white or clear. There are also two levels of adhesion for permanent or removable applications. PSV is also available in solid colors for cut letter applications. Adding a laminant provides the durability needed for floor applications. In addition, CS offers PSV for carpets.

Lambda Photographic Prints (mounted to rigid substrate)The beauty of true photographic prints mounted to foamcore, gatorboard, card stock, or acrylic sheet. Can be mounted directly to walls or incorporate edge grips or standoffs.

WallpaperA true printable wallpaper product available in a range of textures. Ideal for retail and office wall decor.

Until very recently, large format, rigid graphics mandated printing on rigid substrates. That required a large amount of expensive packaging and more risk of damage during transit. The fabric and frame system ends all that. The rich, elegant look of the fabric, held taut in the minimalist frame, provides an exciting new display option. And, they both ship in much smaller, more secure packaging.

Fabrics also have advantages over traditional graphics such as vinyl banners. They are easier to handle and transport and have a better environmental profile. Prints are odorless and provide a premium look and feel. Combined with the framing system, fabrics provide all the presence of prints on rigid substrates, without the drawbacks of size and weight.

The frame system is very versatile with a wide selection of unique profiles for any application. Frames can be floor-standing, wall-mounted, hung and even curved! The profiles allow for single- and double-sided display and even cubes. Optional, integrated LEDs provide a long-lasting, cool-running light source for backlit applications.

Printing can be layered with white ink for maximum color saturation. Graphics can also be second-surface mounted to windows. Our most popular materials for window and clear applications are listed below.

Pressure Sensitive Vinyl (PSV)In addition to walls and floors, PSV is a perfect choice for window graphics. It’s ideal for indoor use.

Window ClingAn 8mil, non-adhesive material primarily used for temporary window advertising, temporary product markings, POP displays and protective masking. Easily removable and repositionable. Can be first-or second-surface mounted.

Window PerfAn ideal product for one-way visibility. This adhesive backed material has a perforated dot pattern that allows enough print surface for graphic readability outside with minimal restrictions on light transmission and window viewing from the inside. This makes it the perfect choice for storefront and vehicle windows.

StoplightStoplight (AKA Blockout) is a smooth-finish paper stock coated on both sides. It has an internal light blocking layer which makes it ideal for window applications. We can add an adhesive coating for window mounting.

Blockout Banner Also known as smooth banner, this 13oz. material contains a light-blocking layer so 2-sided graphics will remain opaque even under bright lights. Add an adhesive coating for window mounting.WINDOW

PETGPolyethylene Terephthalate Glycol-Modified (PETG) is a plastic resin in the polyester family. Extruded PETG sheets make an incredibly strong printing substrate. PETG is available in .020”, .040” and .080” (.508mm, 1.016mm and 2.032mm) thicknesses. PETG’s strength makes it suitable for indoor and outdoor signage.

AcrylicWhen you need a thicker clear sheet than PETG, acrylic is a popular choice. CS prints to 1/8” acrylic for frames, wall mounts or hanging graphics. While they can be used outdoors, the better choice for clear outdoor graphics is polycarbonate.

PolycarbonateFor the ultimate in strength and durability, polycarbonate sheets can’t be beat. Available in 1/8”, polycarbonate is about 200 times stronger than glass and virtually unbreakable with a very high impact strength. For vehicle signage, bus kiosks and any application that demands durability, polycarbonate is the perfect choice.

WHITE INK?Digital printing relies on the color of the substrate (primarily

white) to provide pop and saturation. When printing on clear substrates, graphics will appear translucent and washed out

without that white backing. The solution is to add a white ink layer between the substrate and the printed graphic.

This allows the graphic to retain transparency where need-ed while giving opacity and pop to the printed areas.

FIRST-SURFACE AND SECOND-SURFACE PRINTING?You may have heard this terminology when printing

to clear materials, but what does it mean?

First surface refers to printing, or mounting, a graphic to the viewing side of a substrate. In the above example, our clear substrate will receive a white ink layer followed by a

full color layer. All the ink is on the first surface.

Second surface reverses the process. All ink is printed on the back of the clear substrate in reverse order—color first followed by white. This allows the substrate to act as

a protective layer for the graphic. Second-surface printing can also be done on PSV or window clings so they can be

adhered to the inside of a window and seen as right-reading on the outside.

Vinyl banners remain one of the most durable and popular options for hanging graphics. They are an affordable and eye-catching form of advertising for retail products, sales announcements and special events.

CS’s banners are printed on UV-curing wide-format machines. Any requested hems or pole pockets are machine sewn and grommets can be added for easy hanging.

Standard Vinyl Banner (13oz.)Our most popular banner material is also known as scrim banner. It contains a polyester mesh, or scrim, that provides an internal support structure to give the material needed strength for outdoor applications. The scrim pattern only allows for single-sided printing.

Blockout Banner (13oz.)Also known as smooth banner, this option does not contain a scrim mesh which results in a smooth surface on both sides. That results in a trade-off. Smooth banner allows 2-sided printing, but it’s not as durable as scrim banner and is not recommended for outdoor use. It’s the ideal choice for banner stands, trade show graphics and ceiling banners. It contains a light-blocking layer so 2-sided graphics will remain opaque even under bright lights.

Outdoor Blockout Banner (18oz.)The best of both worlds, our 18oz. banner contains a scrim mesh for outdoor strength, but it’s also smooth on both sides to accommodate 2-sided printing. Outdoor Blockout Banner also contains a light-blocking layer for opaque 2-sided printing.

Mesh Banner (8oz.)A solid choice for outdoor banners where strong winds may be a factor. Mesh banners are perforated to achieve an even airflow through the material while maintaining enough print surface for excellent printability. Mesh can also be used in one-way vision applications.
