PRINCIPAL’S COMMENTS
21st November 2014 ISSUE 19
Don’t forget our SunSmart Policy. Hats to be worn during
Terms 1 and 4.
We have just
finished our school
camping program
for 2014. Last week saw the 5/ 6
children head off to Canberra for
5 days. Mrs. Blair, Mr. Upton, Mr
Hunt, Mrs. Nikolic and Jason
Tang accompanied the campers
and all had a tiring but great trip.
The children in 5/6 who didn’t go
to camp spent last Friday cooking
the best ever pizzas with Mrs.
Cutri.
Last Friday evening also saw the
Prep-2 children enjoy dinner and
Danny the magician. The Grade
1 /2 children then settled down in
the Library for a sleepover. All
the children are to be
congratulated on
their excellent
behaviour. A big thank you to
Mrs Hancock, Miss Sommeling,
Miss Buttigieg, Miss Athena,
Mrs. Bower , Mrs Hebing Mrs
Smith and Mrs Grainger for their
organisation and assistance in
making this a memorable event
for the children.
This week the Grade 3
/4’s went off to Lady
Northcote camp with
Miss Linnell, Miss
Murray and Mr. Hunt. Pre
service teachers Denise Mayor
and Emily Gusman also
attended. All the children had a
wonderful time undertaking
great activities such as canoeing,
orienteering, archery and
yabbying.
This year our school
concert is going to be
on Monday 8th
December. The
children have started to learn
their songs. It will be a Christmas
theme. Information about tickets
will follow soon.
It’s that time of year, when the
Fundraising Committee start
preparing the Movelle P.S.
Christmas Raffle! We will be
having an ‘Out of Uniform’ day
on Friday 5th December. Instead
of a gold coin donation, we are
asking families to help us, by
donating Christmas items, toys
or packaged food, so we can
make some lovely hampers for
our raffle. We would be grateful if
families could send along any
donations on the day and place
them in the box provided in their
child's classrooms. Thankyou for
your support of Movelle Primary
School.
