PRINCIPAL’S COMMENTS 21st November 2014 ISSUE 19 Don’t forget our SunSmart Policy. Hats to be worn during Terms 1 and 4. We have just finished our school camping program for 2014. Last week saw the 5/ 6 children head off to Canberra for 5 days. Mrs. Blair, Mr. Upton, Mr Hunt, Mrs. Nikolic and Jason Tang accompanied the campers and all had a tiring but great trip. The children in 5/6 who didn’t go to camp spent last Friday cooking the best ever pizzas with Mrs. Cutri. Last Friday evening also saw the Prep-2 children enjoy dinner and Danny the magician. The Grade 1 /2 children then settled down in the Library for a sleepover. All the children are to be congratulated on their excellent behaviour. A big thank you to Mrs Hancock, Miss Sommeling, Miss Buttigieg, Miss Athena, Mrs. Bower , Mrs Hebing Mrs Smith and Mrs Grainger for their organisation and assistance in making this a memorable event for the children. This week the Grade 3 /4’s went off to Lady Northcote camp with Miss Linnell, Miss Murray and Mr. Hunt. Pre service teachers Denise Mayor and Emily Gusman also attended. All the children had a wonderful time undertaking great activities such as canoeing, orienteering, archery and yabbying. This year our school concert is going to be on Monday 8 th December. The children have started to learn their songs. It will be a Christmas theme. Information about tickets will follow soon. It’s that time of year, when the Fundraising Committee start preparing the Movelle P.S. Christmas Raffle! We will be having an ‘Out of Uniform’ day on Friday 5 th December. Instead of a gold coin donation, we are asking families to help us, by donating Christmas items, toys or packaged food, so we can make some lovely hampers for our raffle. We would be grateful if families could send along any donations on the day and place them in the box provided in their child's classrooms. Thankyou for your support of Movelle Primary School.
