Students’ speak
My first year of college was certainly
an experience.
I use the word experience in the way
that Randy Paush said in his a last
lecture “Experience is what you get
when you didn’t get what you wanted.”
My first year as a fresher in
college was a whole bunch of getting
things which were really more than what I expected. It was
filled with anticipations, anxieties and so many wonderful
discoveries. My initial days probably got imbibed in me to
be self dependent and grow a sense of responsibility on our
own. The motivation which I gained from my professors and
lecturers to get going with the flow was the best real time
experience. I sincerely loved their effort to make us love the
work we do. The infrastructure of my college so beautifully
structured and it provides us all the accessories we need to
sharpen our skills. Starting from Best academic standards
to the efficient and fluent lecturers. From well versed
departments to the well equipped labs and many more
facilities to learn like enormous library, information centre,
innovation lab, incubation centre and even a good sports
and games facilities.
Those extracurricular activities apart from the
regular interesting classes popped in even semester were
like a ‘bumper’ of an adventure camp thus, cheering up
everyone’s mood. The events like Ganitodeepini, The
Invictus, newly born Bhouta-Rasangana were so much fun
to attend and equally informative and enjoyable. Its then I
realized I had to learn a lot despite of what I had already
learnt. I am sure this continuous and quick journey which
started from classroom C-107 will one day help me in my
search of another one – A Rewarding Career.
So, even though my first year was of 8 months of
working days, it was an experience worth experiencing and
the one I wouldn’t trade .In addition to the learning process
and doing practical skills, being in college has also taught
me a lot about friendship, team work, sincerity, humanity,
hard working and to get going with my field of choice. Thus
to put everything in a nutshell it was a very enjoyable
journey for me and a wonderful experience. “It is an
experience for me to learn and grow from.” Because it is
just the beginning…..
