The report can show just the Bands, B/W/S or all 6 Steps per Band. It is possible to add Age Related Colours to the data when showing Steps.

Key Stage 2 Predictions Steps Reports > Attainment & Targets > Key Stage 2 Predictions

The Key Stage 2 Predictions report is designed to display predicted outcomes for the end of Key Stage 2, for any year group whose prior attainment is based on KS1 Levels Teacher Assessments. The report allows users to compare predicted outcomes based on Current Attainment

with the expected outcome based on the Key Stage 1 results.

Each pupil's "PAG Average" expected Scaled Score in the three subjects is based on the

most up-to-date national data for pupils with a similar Prior Attainment. PAG Average will

be updated in the background when new data is released.

The Summary Mode provides a comparison between predictions based on Prior

Attainment and on “Currently on Track”. With Summary displayed, the Edit Summary

button becomes available. This allows you to alter the groups that are shown in the

report.

Pupils with missing Key Stage 1 APS are excluded from percentage calculations. The

report runs for a single year group only.

Attainment & Progress

Steps Reports Notes Thumbnail image of report

Assessment Conversion Steps Reports > Attainment & Progress > Assessment Conversion

This report allows an easy way to see the pupils moving from one attainment point in a start term to another point in a later term, proving both attainment and progress.

It could be used as part of a body of evidence to show better than expected progress or show where progress is not at the expected rate.

It is possible to add Age Related Colours to the data when showing Steps. The ‘From’ option End KS1, and the ‘To’ options End KS1 and End KS2 are applicable to the 2014 National Curriculum. It is possible to choose to show the TA outcome or the Test outcome. Click on Display to show Names instead of No / %. The number and % can be shown either against the total number of pupils or against the pupils in the actual row. It is also possible to compare attainment to Steps Targets.

Key Stage Progress Steps Reports > Attainment & Progress > Key Stage Progress

This report measures Key Stage progress for individual pupils in Years 1-6, either from a Year 1 Autumn 1 Entry assessment (for Key Stage 1 pupils), or a Year 2 Summer 2 End of Key Stage assessment (for Key Stage 2 pupils).

Pupils must have a Step Assessment in either Year 1 Sum1 (KS1 pupils) or Year 2 Sum2 (KS2 pupils) in order for the report to measure Key Stage progress. The report will shade the pupil cell according to the progress they have made. The report can show just the Bands, 3 Steps per Band (B, W or S) or 6 Steps per Band (Steps). Use the compact view option to hide any Steps where no children are assessed, this condenses the report if required to be printed.

Steps Reports Notes Thumbnail image of report

Gap Analysis Steps Reports > Statements > Gap Analysis

This report shows the spread of assessments over each statement for groups of pupils.

The Subjects button allows any combination of subject and subject areas to be displayed.

The report summarises the assessments using a shaded strip above each statement indicating how many pupils have Not Begun, are Working Towards, have Achieved or have Mastered in each case. Clicking on the strip shows which children are at each stage.

Instead or in addition to showing the shaded proportion strip you can also show either the % or pupil count.

Clicking the KPI Statements button filters the statements to show just the ones identified by the NAHT as Key Performance Indictors.

The ‘I can…’ Statements button toggles the view to alter the wording of the statements to become more Pupil friendly The ‘Interim Framework Standards’ button filter just the statements relating to the Interim Teacher Assessment Framework used for End of Key Stage Assessments.

Progress Between Terms Steps Reports > Statements > Progress Between Terms

This report gives a visual indication of progress against the statements.

Any combination of subjects and subject areas can be displayed. The report works by calculating the number of statements at each state in the From Term (the dark blue shaded area) in comparison with the ‘To Term’ (the light blue shaded area) to allow a visual indication of progress.

There is also an individual Pupil view.

Pupil Summary Steps Reports > Statements > Pupil Summary

This report displays the assessments for a single pupil against the statements. Choose a pupil then click Subjects to choose the range of subjects to display. The statements set as Working Towards have a red background, Achieved a blue background and Mastered a gold background.

V15.7

Parent Report Steps Reports > Parents > Parent

This report can be customised in many ways by an Admin user.

A Write or Limited Write user can only add the commentary, the effort grades and a Pupil photo to the reports.

The Admin user has first to decide on all other aspects of the report and when this has been done the choices will apply to all reports generated from the database.

There are many Parent Report options including whether to have a cover page and what text to have, a school logo or to allow a pupil photo to be added.

The Effort and Attainment table has many options including whether to show the level attained as a marker or with the actual step with age related colours. Or just as a simple Steps table with no colours.

It is possible to change the date that the report will show to a date in the future when the report will be sent home. All aspects of the text are changeable.

We strongly recommend that all of these choices are made before the teachers begin adding text to the reports and that they are exported to Word and checked before being printed.

Year 1 and Year 2 Phonics Steps Reports > Parents > Year 1/Year 2 Phonics

This report shows the outcome of the Y1 Phonics test.

If the expected standard was not met it includes useful information for parents to help their child e.g. Try to make time to read something with your child every day and encourage other family members and friends to do the same.

The report can be run for children in Y1 and those children in Y2, required to retake the test, after not meeting the expected standard when in Y1.

Additional information and guidance about each report can be found in the Help tab within Target Tracker, clicking on the Help option.
