Dear Parents,

We are looking forward to a great Summer Fair this weekend. Let’s hope that the weather is kind to us, although it would take a hurricane to dampen our spirits! Our PTA have again been working tirelessly to make this such a fun experience for the children, and also for adults. I’m sure there will be some super photographs to share in the next newsletter. I look forward to seeing you there.

Another event we would like to invite you to is our evening on “The Brain.” On Monday 25th June from 6 pm in the Theatre, we will present some information on how the brain functions. We do not profess to be neuroscientists but, as custodians of your children’s brains for 5 Days a week, we feel we have some information that you as our co-partners in the education process will find very interesting and helpful. I think this would also be of interest to children from around 9 years of age too, and if you have secondary age children, it will also be informative for you and for them.

Our Year 4 children returned from a very successful camp this week. Our teachers were really impressed, not only with the behaviour of the children (because that is an expectation rather than a hope) but more importantly, with their teamwork, their problem-solving skills and their care for each other. They had a great two days and returned to school safely on Wednesday. Next up is our Year 5 camp on the beautiful island of Texel next week, followed by our Year 6 visit to Colditz the week after. Some schools are now on ‘wind down’ as they approach the holidays, we are on our usual ‘wind up!’

Teachers are busy writing reports now and these will go out in the final week of term. I look forward to reading about the progress of our children and signing off on another very successful year for our kids, our teachers and our school.

Kind regards,

Graeme Scott

We will display the results during the last week of school in a timeline form. We are very happy that teachers joining the IPC conference hosted by our school this summer will be able to learn about where we are from!Pascale [email protected]

Primary NewsYear 4 CampDear parents,The Y4 camp was a real success. Both children and teachers had an enjoyable time. I am sure you already heard a lot of stories about it at home. The children have had many opportunities to demonstrate their Squish attitudes! Well done to all of you for a nice team atmosphere. Make sure to have a look at the photographs in this newsletter. I would like to thank Ms Bradley for a well-organised camp, Ms. Ana and Mr. Alex for the fun activities they led and to all the accompanying teachers and staff members for their support and care of the children especially when it was needed late at night!Kind regards,Ms. HertayDeputy Head

Culinary Delights in Year 2Recently one of our Year 2 students was featured in a cooking magazine in the Philippines. Perhaps you and your child(ren) would like to recreate the recipe.
