TheMercerUniversitySchoolofMedicine(MUSM)PrimaryCareAcceleratedTrackisaninnovative3-yearacceleratedmedicalschoolcurriculumthatculminatestoaMedicalDegreeandpreparesstudentsforearlyentryintoatraditionalprimarycareresidency.Theprogramcurrentlyhastwotracks:FamilyMedicineandInternalMedicine.TheacceleratedcurriculumbuildsuponthestrengthsoftheMUSMproblem-basedcurriculum,whichincludesclinicalexperiencesandcommunitymedicineactivitieswithinthepreclinicalyearsandisreinforcedthroughclerkshipsandselectiveandelectiveexperiences.Thestudentsinthisprogramwillparticipateinactivitiesduringtheir3-yearcurriculumtoacquirethenecessaryknowledgeandskillstobefullyqualified,highlycompetentprimarycarephysicians.
