PRESS RELEASE | 1ST FEBRUARY 2018

Over the last 10 years, Denim Première Vision has adapted to the transformation and innovations in the denim industry, carving out a place for itself as one of the international leaders in the sector.

Today, the show is changing its format – and more specifically its location, its positioning and its team.

The first edition of 2018 will be in Paris in May, followed by a second edition in London in December, in direct contact with fashion brands that use the indigo fabric to create contemporary denim collections.

Henceforth the show will alternate between the Paris event and another European destination.

D E N I M P R E M I È R E V I S I O N A ROVING EVENT DEDICATED TO CONTEMPORARY DENIM FOR FASHION BRANDS

FROM VINTAGE TO CONTEMPORARY DENIMTHE ENTIRE INDUSTRY IS EVOLVING

Denim is now a multi-community

product, far removed from its historic vintage codes, and has re-joined the seasonal fashion market in terms of creation and product development.

Pure players have seen their

leadership on the market and their

innovation be outpaced by fashion

and luxury labels, retailers who

have integrated denim into all their

creative collections by exploring the

new facets of this precious material.

A shorter time to market, a

continual development process, the

generalisation of updates, injections

and capsule collections are typical

of fashion brands and these ways

of working now apply to the denim

industry, with a much tighter

creation and production schedules.

D E N I M P R E M I È R E V I S I O NA ROVING INTERNATIONAL PLATFORM

A ROVING INTERNATIONAL EVENT: From now on,

Denim Première Vision will be organised alternately

in Paris, the global capital of fashion, and in a

European city with a strong fashion influence..

The aim is to encourage proximity with fashion

and design markets while offering the sector new

sources of inspiration:

Parc Floral de Paris on 23 and 24 May 2018

Old Truman Brewery in London on 5 and 6 December 2018,

in the very heart of East London,

the fashion, art and culture district.

AN EARLIER SHOW CALENDAR (in December) for all the supply chain needs of fashion brands and

which also corresponds to when pure players are

making final adjustments to their collections pre-

production.

AN INTERNATIONAL OFFER that is still very high quality and complementary in terms of savoir-faire and organised by profession for greater

clarity: weavers, components and accessories

manufacturers, clothing manufacturers/denim

washers/finishers.

AN EVENT THAT STAYS LOYAL TO ITS HISTORICAL VALUES of selectivity, creativity and innovation.

And which repositions the product and collections at the heart of the show:• A unified stand will showcase creative

developments and the technical and technological

innovations of exhibitors.

• A reorganisation of areas and a new, more

contemporary scenography will result in a simplified buyers’ circuit that is inspiring and more efficient.

• Fashion tools have been redesigned and are more instructive – Denim trends area, seminars

offering inspirations, analysis and guidance on the

season’s trends.

EMPHASIS ON THE EXPERIENCE SIDE OF THE EVENT: speakers, conferences and debates about

the challenges facing the sector, (eco-responsibility,

changes in consumption patterns), events and

happenings to facilitate encounters, exclusive

collaborations…

Denim Première Vision sets out new ambitions with an event format that has been completely overhauled to take into account the needs of the entire denim value chain and its players.
