Bio

Ursula Gatti Rafer was born on January 21, 1979 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. . . the

place of home-cooking! At the age of 18 years old, she attended culinary school and

focused on her pastry classes. While working in several well

known restaurants, she learned many styles of cooking and

became an expert in French-Creole cuisine. In 1996, Ursula

moved to Boca Raton, Florida to be closer to her father, John

Gatti, Jr. In Florida she continued to expand on her knowledge of cooking and its

many different styles. She is certified through the national registry of food safety

managers and is a member of the United States Personal Chef Association

(USPCA). In addition to her love for cooking, she has two additional favorite

pastimes: yoga and art. Both she and her husband Sheridan Rafer (CPTS, ACSM-

HFS, NSCA-CPT) owner of Personalize Your Fitness are dedicated to improving the

lives of others through good nutrition and exercise. By 2006, she began the catering

business Divine Dining L.L.C. Ursula has shared her passion for creating edible

masterpieces with several students and feels that people are unnecessarily intimidated

by food so she encourages her students to experiment with spices and taste new things.

By combining her love for cooking and artwork, she has created many amazing meals

and desserts that weren’t only delicious, but were also pieces of art! This year she

opened Cupcakechef.com an online bakery that sells beautiful an assortment of baked

goods to fit any and all diet restrictions. (e.g. Vegan, Sugar-free, Gluten Free, and

more)Ursula can be seen at Miele of Boca Raton for cooking lessons or right in the

comfort of your kitchen where she is delighted to be bringing a love of food, great

nutrition, cooking and edible art to all!

Cupcakechef.com opened in Feb 2009 as an online bakery to suit any and all dietary restrictions. Proving you can have your cake and eat it too... we offer Low Calorie, Vegan, Gluten-Free, Reduced and Sugar-Free Cupcakes, Brownies, Dough-nuts and More.

All of our unique recipes where inspired by people with different needs... my hubby who has to watch his sugar, my friend Brooke who's BFF has celiacs disease, and girls like me who were once not quite as thin and healthy. These tasy treats are made with quality ingredients like flaxseed, soy milk, fresh fruit, fresh ground spices, Bob's Red Mill and Arrowhead Flours, etc.

Cupcakechef.com participated in the Delray Beach Film Fest, held an afterschool snack drive for Caring Kitchen with Starbucks and Miele corporations, was interviewed on The Good News Radio Program 610AM and was featured in several online magazines in 2009. Cupcakechef.com belongs to THE SURF RIDER FOUNDATION, donates to rebuilding NOLA and donates 5% of its net sales to C.R.O.S. Caring Kitchen.
