    Ten Outstanding Muslim Youth (TOMY) 2008 Awardee Aleem Siddiqui

    Matabalao Guiapal joined CEOs and ministers from more than 30 publicsector PPP Policy-makers & Practitioners of developing CommonwealthCountries and OIC member states at the International InvestmentConference on Public and Private Partnership (IIPPP) and Muslim WorldBusiness and Investment Zone (Biz) 2010 on June 3-4, 2010 and June 4-6,2010 respectively at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

    Guiapal was recently sponsored by the British Embassy as part of theDelegation from the Philippines in the recently concluded 6thWorld IslamicEconomic Forum at Kuala Lumpur on May 18-20, 2010 at the Kuala LumpurConvention Center, Malaysia attended by CEOs and head of states from

    various OIC and ASEAN member states including delegation from the MuslimCouncil of Britain (MCB), CIMB, Islamic Development Bank and Sime Darbyamong others. His representation is thru his volunteer work as ProjectDirector of the Mindanao Youth Speak (MYSpeak).

    With his development background and experience in small sized enterprise,Guiapal widens his social network with the main objective of empoweringsmall and medium sized enterprise in Mindanao and gains access tointernational partners. He manages AG Consulting firm, a marketing andservice outsourcing firm with partners from Yellowstone Corporation (NorthAmerica) and Global Sublets, Inc. (New York.)

    There were huge potentials to strengthen the economic structure ofMindanao, Guiapal said. The internal natural resource of the land is vast. Itsa matter of putting things on place. It is a tough job, but if we are sincere inwhat we are doing, great things can be accomplished. He seesstrengthening social network as a means to widened opportunities for theeconomic ventures of Mindanao and the country in general.

    The Philippine Investment opportunities was presented at IIPPP Conferenceby Stephen de los Reyes , Consultant of the Philippine National Oil Company(PNOC). He was joined by Roger E. Buendia, OIC, President and CEO of thesame company. Other country presenters were from Nigeria, South Africa,Indonesia, Malaysia and PPP Practitioners from the Pacific, Caribbean, WestAfrica, and East Africa. The said event was chaired by Datuk Dr MohammadAnnas Mohd Nor, Chairman of the PPP Resource and Advisory Council.

    The Muslim World Biz 2010 provides an ideal platform for businessmen,entrepreneurs, international investors & buyers from all parts of the world toexplore Joint Venture, Investment and Trade opportunities available in theMuslim Countries as well as in other participating countries from US, Europe,Central Asian Republics, China, India, and the Far East. It was organized bythe OIC International Business Centre and chaired by Dato Dr. RajaMohamad. Tan Sri Datuk Seri Elyas Omar, Chairman of the OIC Business

    Center concludes the event with his words that globalization can bemoulded according to the requirements of Islam and the needs of Muslims.

    Guiapal represented other small sized enterprise in Maguindanao andCotabato City organized by lawyer entrepreneur Rasol Mitmug, Jr. incoordination with the Board of Investments of the Autonomous Region inMuslim Mindanao and in Metro Manila duly coordinated by the National
