PRESIDENT’S COLUMNThis is an exciting time of the year as we
are enjoying warmer temperatures, outdoor
activities, shows, events, moves and new
product announcements! We have highlighted
various details within this newsletter, including a
special section on the new Dash CF chassis
that was introduced by Pierce at the recent
FDIC in Indianapolis.
In other manufacturing news, Pierce is
now the exclusive Bronto Skylift sales and
service partner in North America, and the
Medtec Ambulance plant has moved to newly-
updated facilities in Bradenton, Florida. This
shift will be a great benefit to both current and
prospective Medtec customers. And since
we’re on the subject of moving…. Ed Povirk has
“moved” from the Zelienople office to a full-time
Pierce apparatus sales position, covering
Beaver, Clarion, Crawford, Forest, Jefferson,
Lawrence, Mercer and Venango counties. I am
thrilled to announce that Glick Fire is now
providing full-time representation in our entire
sales area in Pennsylvania!
With summer comes a renewed
appreciation of green grass, more sunshine,
fresh, local food, flip flops, and dedication.
Yes, dedication. We held our annual
company-wide banquet in February and I am
humbled to see dedication in the shape of
human faces – employees and their spouses!
A dedication to the emergency services and
to the people & companies who make up the
Pennsylvania communities. Thank you
everyone – you are the best – and we are
honored as a group to serve those who serve
their local communities. Thanks for your
business & friendship and please feel free to
contact us if there is anything we can do to
assist you in your mission.

or Butler county to feasibly bring your apparatus
to the Glick Fire Equipment service facility for
service or maintenance, you are not out of luck!
Glick has an extensive network of certified
service technicians that are very aptly equipped
with parts, tools, and machinery for big and
small jobs.... and they’re on the road.... ready to
help YOU.
What a lot of fire companies don’t realize is
that when we come to you, no matter how close
or remote you are,
you don’t get
charged for our
travel time. So don’t
mistake us for “out of
reach” just because of your location. Whether
you’re just looking for some support with your
larger-scale service needs and big projects, or if
you are looking for someone to take care of ALL
your maintenance, we are within reach, and
ready to help YOU!
Deb Strubelis the new and friendly front desk receptionist at Glick’s Bird-in-Hand facility. At FDIC in Indianapolis this spring, Pierce unveiled the all
new Dash CF custom apparatus. This new cab-forward design
is built around the Pierce Ultimate Configuration (PUC)
platform and boasts many of the same
advantages that the PUC originally
introduced to the firefighting industry
back in 2007. But the Dash CF takes it
even further.
The most striking new feature
that the Dash CF boasts is increased
space inside the cab. This was
accomplished by moving the engine
down and rearward,
creating a flat floor from driver to officer; no
more engine tunnel taking up the bulk of the
space. In addition to creating space for
more comfortable operations, this new
openness, paired with the quieter ride, greatly
improves in-cab communications.
Another big improvement to the cab is the
new large, wrap-around windshield.
Due to the cab being lower on the
chassis, the windshield itself is 10
inches lower to the ground compared
to other apparatus, significantly
expanding the driver and officer’s view.
These are just a few of many new
features that the Dash CF brings to the
plate. This apparatus was truly
designed for the long haul. Check piercemfg.com/dashcf for
more information or give us a call to discuss how the Dash CF
could be the perfect fit for your fire department!

Glick Fire Equipment has partnered with E.J. Metals Inc., a premier
designer and manufacturer of specialty all-terrain fire trucks
headquartered in Hortonville, WI, to offer the newly
innovated Assault Force line of Fire-Rescue Rough
Terrain Vehicles (FRRTV) to fire companies in the
state of Pennsylvania. These Assault Force
vehicles are truly the next generation of off-road
fire/rescue apparatus, and they significantly
increase the firefighting and patient transport
capabilities traditionally expected from a rough terrain
utility vehicle. While the Assault Force is ideally suited for brush/wildland
fire response, it can also be configured with extra capacity for patient
transport and first responders and be used in pedestrian zones, sport
complexes, large-scale events, industrial plants, parking garages or
anywhere you need fire/rescue and patient transport but can't take a
traditional fire apparatus or ambulance.
