STUDENT LEARNING IS A TOP PRIORITY

“K-12 teacher evaluations are tied to student achievement by state law, so accurate measures of achievement are important.”

“Retention is a focus of our state. Retention rates are reported and could possibly affect fundingdollars.”

“Student success is our business.”

“There is a big effort to increase retention – an issue for our University. So, identifying students with academic problems has been targeted as something we can use

technology to detect.”

“Funding is based upon completion rates, not how many students sign up for courses and then do not finish them. Also, we are a community college and want to see our students enter the workforce and go on to a four-year institution.”
