Connectivity to Thiruvananthapuram❖ The proposed venue, Hotels Samudra (KTDC) and Uday

Samudra (Private) at Kovalam Beach (across the road),

are about 10 km from Thiruvananthapuram city.

❖ It is well connected by Air, Rail and Road with other parts

of the country. Tourist buses ply daily to major cities.

❖ Air India, Indigo, Spicejet and Jet Airways operate daily

flights to New Delhi, Hyderabad, Bombay, Bangalore and

Chennai.

❖ Direct flights to international destinations like Singapore,

Structure of the Annual Technical Meeting

➢ Theme based parallel sessions are planned➢ Ferrous, Non-ferrous and Metal Sciences will have two topical

themes each, and Environmental will have one topical theme.➢ Topics of Current and Futuristic interest covering these themes

will be held as Symposia in these parallel sessions.➢ Poster sessions related to these theme topics will also be

organised.• Proposed Themes (not limited to) :

About 25 stalls from leading industries/companies willdisplay their products. Standard stalls of 9 sqm will beavailable at the rate of Rs.20,000/sqm excl. GST.

Selected papers will be displayed as posters focusing onvarious themes. Attractive prizes will be given for bestposter presentation.

Accommodation at Kovalam-Thiruvananthapuram

➢ Accommodation at Samudra and Uday Samudra will be available

upto (100 + 250) for organizing committee to distribute.

➢ Apart from this, Hotel Leela and Hotel Taj are located within 500 m

(walkable distance) from the venue at Kovalam.

➢ For regular delegates, Hotels with wide range of tariff are available at

both Kovalam and Thiruvananthapuram. (from Rs.1000/- to 5000/-)

➢ On first come first serve basis, VSSC, CSIR-NIIST and State

Government Guest Houses will be made available for delegates.

➢ For students (up to 200 participants), on first come first serve basis,

FREE accommodation is provided at VSSC Guest House, Salvation

Army hostel and Youth Hostel.

➢ Transport arrangements like Buses, Tempo Traveller, Vans will be

arranged to reach the participants from the above places to the

conference venue in time.
