That’s a really long neck!• The tongue of a giraffe is dark

blue in color and it’s up to 18 inches long.

• They are 17 feet tall. That’s bigger than a elephant.

Giraffe’s Eating• Giraffe’s eat leafs from tall

trees.• They will feed up to 100

species of plants including mimosa and apricot.

• They prefer vegetation found 17 feet off ground for food.

Giraffe’s Birth• A mother of a giraffe gives

birth from four to five calves.• Newborn giraffes are about

six feet tall .• The newborn calve weight

150 to 200 pounds. They sure are fat!

• The newborn calves ,as they are called, start to walk within a hour of birth.

• The newborn calves have nursing from nine to eleven months.
