INTRODUCTION•Objective :

1. To obtain knowledge and skills besides having an experience in agriculture and livestock breeding.

2. To experience the world of animals and plants outside of the theory class.

Quail• Originated from Europe, Africa and Asia as

a migratory game bird. • Raised in Japan as a pet, for meat and eggs

and as a singing bird. • Also introduced to the United States around

1870.• C. japonica are a fast growing hardy bird.

They are mature at 6 weeks of age and are laying eggs by 7 weeks of age.

• They are an excellent bird for meat and egg production.

MorphologyFemale Male lighter cream colored

feathering on the neck with black stripes and dotting on the breast.

rusty brown throat and breast feathers

There are sexually dimorphic as it allow different sexes to be distinguished from one another.

Males tend to be smaller than females.
