GRADE SLAB
In construction, a grade slab is a relatively flat concrete
structure built on top of the soil at ground level.
This simple slab design differs from the
reinforced slab technique used for elevated concrete
floors, and does not require support from underground
footers or foundation walls.
The grade acts as the foundation for a home or building,
and provides a stable base for walls and other building
elements.

SLAB ON GRADE
A reinforced concrete slab placed directly on the ground .GRADE
SLAB WITH MIN. REINFORCEMENT WILL PROTECT YOURFLOORING
“The grade slab design is similar to pavement design. And
hence if you provide pcc and soling below the grade slab it will
improve modulus of sub grade reaction [Spring Coefficient].
Normally filled up soil has 3 kg per Cm3 modulus of sub grade
reaction. If you provide 200mm soling and 100mm thick 1:4:8 PCC,
below grade slab, you will get ks as about 11 to 12
If you provide PVC membrane as slip members between PCC and
grade slab, the friction is reduced and hence axial tensile due friction
is nil “
