en el municipio cántabro de Guarnizo, perteneciente al

cinturón industrial de Santander. Fue fundada en el

año 1.955 por los hermanos Don Federico Cobo

Cagigas y Don Pedro Cobo Cagigas. Ya desde sus

inicios, se dedicó a la fabricación, reparación

y comercialización de camiones y semirremolques

cisterna para el transporte de mercancías peligrosas

por carretera (ADR), orientando su producción hacia

los productos petrolíferos (gasolina, gasóleo, asfalto,

etc.), químicos, pulverulentos, etc. Actualmente

cuenta en la dirección, con la segunda generación de

la familia Cobo, representadas en las personas de Don

Federico Cobo San Miguel y Doña María del Pilar Cobo

San Miguel.

instalaciones, unas de las más modernas dentro del

sector de la construcción de cisternas de Europa, con

de alta tecnología que para este tipo de productos

demanda el mercado mundial. La plantilla de

en los 8.500 m2 de pabellón es cubiertos y dentro de

Asimismo, también cuenta con un moderno

Centro de Mantenimiento y Reparación de cisternas,

inaugurada en septiembre de 2.007 con una superficie

total de 15.000 m2 de los cuales 2.700 m2 son de

pabellones cubiertos y donde trabajan 15 personas.

En noviembre de 2.010, inaugura su nueva

línea de fabricación de vehículos cisterna para el

transporte de gas licuado del petróleo (GLP) y

contenedores para el transporte de productos

químicos.

Con el paso de los años y hasta nuestros días,

ha llevado una trayectoria ascendente, tanto

en la calidad como en el número de unidades

fabricadas, logrando situarse en los primeros puestos

del ranking europeo de fabricantes de vehículos

cisterna, siendo reconocidos sus productos a nivel

internacional. En España ocupa actualmente el primer

lugar en las ventas de semirremolques cisterna para el

transporte de productos petrolíferos y asfálticos,

fabricando en el últimos cinco años una media de 260

unidades anuales.

Desde el año 1.989, está presente en el

mercado internacional. Su andadura comienza en

Portugal, donde en cinco años consigue hacerse con el

60% de las ventas de vehículos cisterna para el

transporte de productos petrolíferos y asfálticos.

Paralelamente, comienza a realizar estudios

de mercado y a desarrollar acciones comerciales en

países como Irlanda, Inglaterra, Alemania y Francia.

En Junio de 2.001 prosigue su expansión y

establece acuerdos comerciales con la Empresa Griega

E&E ALEXIADOU. Estos acuerdos culminan con la

apertura de una nueva representación Técnico-

Comercial en Tesalónica (Grecia) para dar servicio

comercial y post-venta a la unidades con destino en

este país. Las ventas de en Grecia alcanzan,

también en poco tiempo, una importante cuota de

participación en el sector de los vehículos cisterna para

el transporte de productos petrolíferos.

durante la fabricación de sus vehículos, es el acabado

final y más concretamente el proceso de pintura.

Para conseguir los mejores resultados en el acabado

final, dispone de dos líneas independientes

de pintura, que garantizan un proceso de pintado

siempre en las mismas condiciones (humedad,

temperatura, etc.). De esta forma se consigue una

calidad de acabado que no es frecuente en el mundo

del vehículo industrial, estando reconocida esta calidad

a nivel mundial por las principales petroleras.

En la parte final del proceso de fabricación de las

unidades, le concede una importancia

extrema al capitulo de instalaciones (suspensiones,

frenos, neumática, hidráulica, electricidad, equipos de

etc.), así como a sus posteriores verificaciones y

pruebas funcionales de las mismas.

inaugurado en septiembre de 2.007, que junto con la

amplia experiencia en el sector y su personal altamente

cualificado, hacen que este centro de mantenimiento y

reparación sea de referencia en España.

cisternas de mercancías peligrosas para las siguientes

de frenos, etc.

Revisiones periódicas ADR, IMDG, CSC, RID

dispone de un inspector interino de un

Organismo de Control Autorizado (O.C.A.) para la

realización y/o inspección de todas las revisiones

necesarias tanto en vehículos cisterna como en

isocontenedores.

Metrología

está acreditado para la fabricación y

reparación de sistemas de medida en camión cisterna

para líquidos de baja densidad (≤ 20 mPa·s) e inscrito

en el Registro de Control Metrológico con los números

06 – H – 0003 y 06 – H – 0003-R, respectivamente y

como “Entidad calibradora de vehículos cisterna”.

dispone en sus instalaciones de un depósito

de 48.000 litros de gasóleo para realizar calibraciones

según normativa de CLH. y bajo procedimiento

autorizado y de vasijas patrón de 200 y 1.000 litros y

contadores patrón calibrados en Laboratorio Oficial,

para la verificación y calibración de sistemas de

medida.

Repintado de vehículos

dispone de una nueva cabina de pintura de

16,5 metros de largo, personal cualificado y

procedimientos de pintura avalados por los principales

fabricantes de pintura para llevar a cabo tareas de

repintado de vehículos, obteniendo unos resultados

exquisitos y duraderos en el tiempo.

Periodical ADR, IMDG, CSC, RID checks

uses an inspector from an Authorised Control

Organisation to carry out and/or inspect all the

necessary checks on both tanker vehicles and iso

containers.

Metrology

is authorised to manufacture and repair the

measuring systems in tanker lorries for low density

liquids (≤ 20 mPa·s) and is registered on the Metrology

Control Register with the numbers 06 – H – 0003 and

06 – H – 0003-R, respectively, and as “Calibrating

entity for tanker vehicles”.

Standard measuring system

Within the installations there is a tank

containing 48,000 litres of diesel to carry out

calibrations, in accordance with the CLH regulation and

following authorised procedure, using standard

containers of 200 and 1,000 litres calibrated in an

Official Laboratory, to check and calibrate the

measuring systems.

Vehicle repainting

has a new, 16.5 metre-long painting cabin,

qualified personnel and painting procedures that are

guaranteed by the main paint manufacturers to repaint

the vehicles, achieving exquisite and long-lasting

results.

Válvulas Phoënix

está autorizado por PHÖENIX para el

mantenimiento y reparación de sus válvulas,

disponiendo de banco de pruebas expresamente

acondicionado y personal altamente cualificado y

experimentado.

Garantías de componentes y servicio de

recambios

se encarga de la gestión y tramitación de

garantías con los principales fabricantes de

componentes para semirremolques (SAF, BPW, ROR,

Knorr-Bremse, Wabco, etc.), para mayor comodidad

del cliente.

Así mismo, dispone de un amplio almacén

para el suministro de recambios y componentes de las

principales marcas.

Unidad móvil

dispone de una unidad móvil dotada con todo

lo necesario para reparaciones neumáticas, hidráulicas,

electrónicas y pequeñas reparaciones de calderería

para mayor comodidad del cliente y así evitar en

muchos casos el traslado del vehículo al taller.

Mantenimiento de f lotas

ofrece al cliente un servicio de

mantenimiento completo de flotas, que incluye todo lo

necesario para que el vehículo cumpla con la normativa

actual en materia de revisiones reglamentarias (ADR,

IMDG, CSC, etc.) y del mantenimiento propio del

vehículo (cambio de neumáticos, cambio de aceite,

etc.)

Phoënix Valves

is authorised by PHÖENIX to carry out the

maintenance and repair of their valves, and has a test

bank set up specifically, along with highly qualified and

experienced personnel.

Component guarantee and spare parts

service

handles all the processes to obtain the

guarantees from the major manufacturers of

components for semi-trailers (SAF, BPW, ROR, Knorr-

Bremse, Wabco, etc.), for the convenience of the

customer.

Furthermore, has a large warehouse for the

supply of major brands’ spare parts and components.

Mobile unit

possesses a mobile unit fitted out with

everything necessary to carry out pneumatic, hydraulic,

electronic and minor metalwork repairs, for the

convenience of the client, as in many cases the vehicle

does not have to be taken to the workshop to receive

attention.

Fleet maintenance

offers a complete maintenance service for

fleets, which includes everything necessary for the

vehicle to comply with the current regulations regarding

obligatory service checks (ADR, IMDG, CSC, etc.) and

for the general maintenance of the vehicle itself (tyre

change, oil change, etc.)

servicio, gasocentros y depósitos de combustible para

uso industrial o doméstico su servicio de

mantenimiento de instalaciones petrolíferas según la

normativa actual, en el que se incluyen todas las

revisiones o inspecciones reglamentarias.

clientes un área de descanso adecuada, durante el

tiempo de espera que dure la reparación o revisión.

is certified as a Liquid Petroleum Product

Installation Company (category II). can offer

the owners of petrol stations, gas centres and deposits

for industrial or domestic use fuel its maintenance

service for petroleum product installations, in

accordance with current legislation. All obligatory

checks and inspections are included in this service.

Drivers’ waiting room

There is a fully equipped lounge within the

plant, where customers can wait comfortably while their

vehicle is being repaired or checked.
