Use of ‘already’ with the present perfect

Already is used to talk about something that happened earlier than expected.

“Yet’ means something that we expect has happened or hasn’t happened. It is usually used in questions or negative sentences.

Have you seen the movie yet?

No , I haven’t seen it yet.

Use of ‘for’ and ‘since’ with the present perfectfor + a period or length of time (from start to end)

e.g. for 2 years, for a long time, for 3 months, for 8
