OBJECTIVES

Dotar al alumno de conocimientos básicos en Literatura Inglesa, para poder realizar la traducción de textos literarios básicos, tanto de prosa como

de verso. Para ello, se hará especial hincapié en los recursos necesarios. Tanto para la narración como para la poesía deben tenerse en cuenta

algunas de las reglas de oro fundamentales para una buena traducción: no añadir, no omitir, no alterar.

INTENDED LEARNING OUTCOMES

Una breve introducción a la Narración, el Teatro y la Poesía Inglesas, la Literatura Comparada y la Traducción, así como a conceptos

fundamentales en la teoría y la práctica de la Traducción Literaria, dan paso a la traducción de textos en prosa y verso de los autores más

relevantes de la literatura inglesa: Shakespeare, Donne, Dryden, Defoe, Swift, Pope, Fielding, Sterne, Johnson, Wordsworth, Byron, Keats,

Shelley, Browning, Arnold, Elliot, Dickens, Thackeray, Hardy, etc.
