An administrative fee of $2.00 will be charge for all cancellations or changes made

prior to closing of entries. Refunds of $3.50 or less will not be issued due to the costs

of processing. All refunds will not be mailed out until after the show.

RETURNED CHECK, DECLINED CREDIT OR DEBIT CARDS do not constitute a valid entry

fee. Fees must be paid in guaranteed funds. Checks will not be accepted. The Show

Secretary will add a $29.00 fee added to the amount of the check for completing the

transaction and or reprocessing the entries.

Attention Exhibitors Exhibitor Rule Change Effective 01/01/2010. Chapter 11, Section 1. No dog shall be exhibited in a licensed or member dog show, except for dogs entered in the Miscellaneous Class unless it is either individually registered in the AKC Stud Book or individually registered with a foreign registry organization whose pedigrees are acceptable for AKC registration. For complete detail see Rules Applying to Dog Shows, Chapter 11, Section 1. Effective for all events held on and after January 1, 2008. The American Kennel Club will collect a $3.00 Event Service Fee for the first entry of a dog and a $3.00 service fee for each additional entry of the same dog in the regular and non-regular recordable single entry classes, in all AKC licensed and member club events. The current 50 cents recording fee will continue to be collected where applicable. The event-giving club shall assume the responsibility of collecting all Events Service Fees for the American Kennel Club. These event services and recording fees shall be forwarded to the American Kennel Club along with all other required event results with seven (7) days of the close of the event. ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS: Entries will be acknowledged after entries close with entry acknowledg-ment and judging program to address on entry. Should exhibitor NOT receive an acknowledgment within a reasonable time, Please notify the Show Secretary at the address provided. No entry will be accepted which specifies any condition as to its acceptance. Telephone, telegraph, and un-signed entries cannot be accepted and will be returned. Entries not on Official AKC Entry Forms and photocopies of Entry Forms without the Agreement and Rules on the reverse side are NOT ACCEPTABLE. The Club and/or Show Secretary assumes no responsibility for wrong or incomplete information given on the entry blank by the owner or the owner’s agent entered a dog in a class in which the dog is not eligible to compete. THE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE COMPLETENESS OF ANY ENTRY RESTS SOLELY WITH THE ENTRANT. Entry fees shall not be refunded in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, sick, lame, excused by the Judge or Veterinarian, or barred from competition by action of the Show Committee, or because it has been entered incorrectly. There is no refund of entry fee for bitches in season. There is no refund for DUPLICATE ENTRIES. If, because of riots, civil disturbances or other acts beyond the control of the management it is impossible to open, or to complete the Show, No re-fund of entry fee may be made. Returned checks shall have a collection fee of $29.00 added to the amount of the check. No dogs will be allowed in the show area except those regularly entered in the Show. The judging will start promptly. Dogs may arrive anytime prior to their time of judging and may leave immediately thereafter unless required for further judging. It is the responsibility of the exhibitor to have his dog ready to be shown and at the entrance of the judging ring when the stew-ard calls for the class. LOSS OR DAMAGE: The Show Committee will use due care and diligence for the welfare of dogs and exhibitors but will not be responsible for or assume any liability in the event of any accident or misfortune to either dogs or exhibitors participating in this Event. The welfare of an exhibitor’s child is assumed to be the responsibility of the exhibitor. It is dis-tinctly understood that exhibitors will exercise control and restraint over their children on the day of the Show. All rights to televise, video tape, advertise, photograph, promote or otherwise exploit this event are vested in the Club, or in persons to whom assignments of such rights have been made in writing by the Club. All persons and animals on the show grounds at any time while the show is in pro-gress, do by attending this show or participating therein, grant to the Club the right to photograph televise, video tape, audio tape or otherwise use their likeness and voice in any manner without further release or consent. The Kennel Club is not responsible for the actions or products of the commercial vendors at this show. Their shall be no benching, nor offering for sale or breeding dogs. ALL PENS MUST HAVE PLASTIC UNDERNEATH. NO DOG WILL BE LEFT IN THE BUILDING OVER-NIGHT. ALL DOG MUST BE REMOVED IMMEDIATELY AFTER BEST OF BREED JUDGING. ARM-BANDS WILL BE WITHHELD FROM ANY EXHIBITOR WHO HAS OUTSTANDING DEBTS WITH WSCSC. ALL DEBTS MUST BE PAID PRIOR TO ENTERING THE RING OF THIS SPECIALTY SHOW.

Field Trial Class: Classes for Dogs & Bitches that have earned Working Dog (WD) or Working Dog

Excellent (WDX) Titles from the American Spaniel Club, or that have earned Junior Hunter (JH) ,

Senior Hunter (SH), or Master Hunter (MH) Titles from the American Kennel Club. To be judged

after Winners but before Best of Variety.

Winners of the Veteran Classes & Field Trial Classes will compete for Best of Breed

(Variety), if undefeated. Best Of Variety Competition

Best of Breed /Variety Competition

The following categories of dogs may be entered and shown in Best of Breed/Variety Competition:

Dogs that are Champions of Record and dogs which according to their owner’s records, have com-

pleted the requirements for a championship, but whose championships are unconfirmed. The

showing of unconfirmed Champions in Best of Breed/Variety Competition is limited to a period of

90 days from the date of the show where the dog completed the requirements for a championship. Grand Champion Competition The following categories of dogs are entered in this competition: 1. Dogs that are Champions of Record competing in Best of Breed or Best of Variety class.

There are no additional entry fees or cost to exhibitors for participation in this competition at AKC events.

2. Dogs transferred to Best of Breed/Variety which according to their owner’s records have completed the requirements for a championship but whose championships are unconfirmed.

3. Champions that win Non-Regular Classes and become eligible for Best of Breed competition (Altered or spayed CH veteran class winners at independent specialties are eligible).

4. Winners Dog and Winners Bitch are not eligible for Grand Champion competition. And their winning BOB/BOV or BOS will still allow the awarding of Select Dog/Bitch to eligible dogs in the ring.

At the judge’s discretion, Grand Championship points may be awarded to: 1. Best of Breed or Variety. 2. Best of Opposite Sex. 3. Select Dog. 4. Select Bitch. Grand Champion competition will not continue beyond Best of Breed completion and in breeds that are divided into varieties, Grand Champion Competition will not continue beyond Best of Variety competition. Non-Regular Classes (Involving Multiple dog entries) As the judge’s decision in the Non-Regular Classes involving Multiple Dog Entries is based on the merits of more than one dog or bitch, no one of the dogs or bitches making up the entry judged first in these classes will be eligible to compete for Best of Breed by virtue of having won these classes. Stud Dog Class – For Stud Dogs and two of their Get. It is not necessary that the Get be under the same ownership as that of the Stud Dog. The Stud Dog may be entered separately in one of the

regular classes, or if a Champion of Record in Best of Breed Competition, but MUST be entered in the Stud Dog Class, the Get MUST be entered in one of the regular classes. The Stud Dog shall be considered as one entry and requires one entry fee, this being the regular fee plus the additional class fee if the Stud Dog is entered in another class. The Stud Dog must be shown in the ring with the Get. The class will be judged on the merits of the Get. Brood Bitch Class – Same as for the Stud Dog except substitute Brood Bitch for Stud Dog and Produce for Get. Brace Class - Effective 01/1/2005- A brace is defined as two dogs of the same recognized breed or variety that are similar in appearance, performing in unison, and presented by a maximum of two handlers. Both dogs competing in brace must have at least one common owner. Dogs com-prising a Brace Class must be named at the time of entry, and full particulars must be given for each dog on individual entry forms. If a dog which is to be part of brace is not entered in another class , it must be entered for “Brace Class only” An entry form for a dog entered in another class and entered as part of a Brace must be marked accordingly in the space provided for additional classes as “Brace Class” Parade Of Title Holders is for dogs that are American Champions, Field Trial Champions, AKC Obe-dience Title Holders and dogs that have earned a Working Dog Title from the AKC. Parade MUST be indicted on the entry form. All entrants receive a rosette with the dog’s name imprinted in gold.

SWEEPSTAKES

Requirements & Classification Sweepstakes is open to all Cocker Spaniel that are six months of age 6 months & under 13

months of age on the day of the show. Dogs shown in sweepstakes must also be entered in one of

the regular classes at the regular entry fee and on the regular entry form. Sweepstakes will be

judged prior to regular classes. Indicate your Sweepstakes Class with the age division in the space

provided for “Additional Class”.

The following classes will be provided for both dogs and bitches:

Puppy 9 mos. & under 13 mos.

DIVISION OF ENTRY MONEY FOR PUPPY SWEEPSTAKES 25% of entry fee will be retained by club for expenses. The remaining will be known as the Sweep-stakes Fund and will be divided as Follows (rounded to the nearest dollar amount): 10% To Best of Breed in Sweepstakes, 5% to Best Opposite Sex to Best in Sweepstakes. The remaining 85% of Sweepstakes Fund to be divided between Best Dog and Best Bitch in each age class in each vari-ety, based on proportion of that particular class entry to the total entry.

STRIPPED DOWN COMPETITION Requirements & Classification

Stripped Down Competition shall be offered for any AKC Champion of Record (Conformation) of any age or Variety. Length of hair is required to be trimmed to a maximum of 1½ inches long on any portion of the body, with exception of the ears where no length restriction apply. Entrants are to be judged on conformation. All varieties of dogs (males) will be judged first as one class, then all varieties of bitches will be judged as the second class. The winners of these two respective classes will compete for Best In Stripped Down Competition. Judging will begin following competi-

Master Junior Class - This class will be for boys and girls who are at least 9 years old and under

18 years on the day of the show, and who have won the 10 first place wins in an Open class with

competition to be eligible to enter the Limited Class Competition. The calendar for this class will

be November 1 - October 31 of the following year. All Juniors meeting the criteria for this class are

required to enter the Master Class and may change their entry the day of the show if entries have

already closed. Once the eligibility time frame for that year has passed all participants return to

the Open Class to compete for the following year.

The following categories of dogs may be entered and shown in Best of Breed competition: Dogs that are Champions of Record and dogs which, according to their owners’ records, have completed the requirements for a championship, but whose championships are unconfirmed. The showing of unconfirmed Champions in Best of Breed competition is limited to a period of 90 days from the date of the show where the dog completed the requirements for a championship.

3. (Event Class) Consult the classification in this premium list. If the event class in which you are entering your dog is divided, then, in addition to designating the class, specify the particular division of the class in which you are entering your dog, i.e., age division, color division, weight division.

4. A dog must be entered in the name of the person who actually owned it at the time entries for an event closed.
