Winners of the above classes, if otherwise undefeated, are eligible to compete for Best of Breed.BEST OF BREED COMPETITION: The following categories of dogs may be entered and shown in Best of Breed Competition: Dogs that are Champions of Record and dogs that according to their owners records have completed the requirements for a Championship but whose Championships are unconfirmed. The showing of dogs whose Championships are unconfirmed is limited to a period of 90 days from the date of the show where a dog completed the requirements for a Championship according to the owner’s records.

AKC NATIONAL OWNER-HANDLED SERIES BICHON FRISE & OLD ENGLISH SHEEPDOG SHOW #2 ONLY

The AKC National Owner-Handled Series is a non-titling competition for dogs that are exhibited by their owners that are not professional handlers. All dogs that are owner-handled and are not owned or exhibited by professional handlers* meet the requirements for this competition. Exhibitors must declare their dog is Owner-Handled eligible at the time of entry using the check box on the entry form. Eligible dogs will be identified by an asterisk in the judge’s book, steward’s book & the catalog. Dogs must be handled throughout the breed level competition for the regular show by an eligible owner. Professional handlers, household members and current assistants** to professional handlers may not exhibit the dog in any competition during the entire show.Owner-Handled Best of Breed will be selected from the dogs that are eligible to compete in the Best of Breed competition including Winners Dog, Winners Bitch and winners of the non-regular classes. No class dogs other than the Winners Dog & Winners Bitch are eligible to return to the ring.*Professional handlers are defined as any person who belongs or has belonged to a professional handlers’ organization, distributed rate cards, or otherwise advertised or represented themselves as handling dogs for pay within the last five years**A current assistant is defined as anyone employed by a professional handler on a full-time basis, or assisting a professional handler at the show or any show during the cluster/weekend.

BELGIAN TERVUREN, BICHON FRISE, OLD ENGLISH SHEEPDOGSAll Obedience & Rally Classes Will Be Held Indoors. With the approval of the American Kennel Club, Obedience and Rally Trial classes for the above listed clubs will be consolidated to provide maximum efficiency in scheduling and judging. The Judging Program will include a complete list of breeds to be judged, and the order in which they will be judged. All Specialties that are offering Combined Obedience Classes will be judged together. Each dog will be judged and individual scores recorded in the respective breed’s judge’s book. For the group exercises in Obedience, all breeds will be judged in one group. If there are more dogs competing than can be spaced four (4) feet per dog on one side of a ring, some must be judged in another group. The judge will divide the class into equal sections and the group exercise will be judged after each section. Following completion of group exercises, the judge will complete the judge’s books for all dogs entered in each Obedience class in the respective breed’s judge’s book. Ribbons and awards will then be awarded by breed. Qualifying points in Obedience are based on the number of dogs in each breed only. All Specialties that are offering Combined Rally Classes will be judged together. Each dog will be judged and individual scores recorded in the respective breed’s judge’s book. The judge will complete the judge’s books for all dogs entered in each Rally class in the respective breed’s judge’s book. Ribbons and awards will then be awarded by breed.

ATTENTION – SHOW GROUND RULES• Gray water cannot be dumped or dripped on the ground. The appropriate sewer hookup or dump

station should be used for depositing all gray (and black) water. Security will enforce the “no dumping” rule. There is a $500.00 fine for all/any infractions of this policy.

• An EMT will be on Show Grounds Each Day• THE GROUNDS WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR SET-UP OF GROOMING EQUIPMENT FROM 11:00AM until

7:00 PM on Friday, July 7.• CONTROL OF THE GROOMING AND CRATING AREAS WILL BE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE

GROUNDS CHAIRMAN. No roping off or saving of grooming areas. Show Committee reserves the right to rearrange crates etc., in the non-reserved grooming area in order to make more room. Grooming equipment left in day grooming area after Best in Show will be confiscated.

• Grooming and Crating area aisles must remain open at all times.• No Grooming or exercise pens, Cocker pens, Toy pens or canopies are allowed in the Show Buildings.

Crates are only allowed in the show building during showing of your breed and must be removed immediately after. Violators will be fined $25.00 per occurrence.

• Grounds will be open at 11:00AM Fri., 6:00 AM Sat. through Mon., and close two (2) hours after Best in Show each day. All buildings must be vacated two hours after Best in Show on Monday. Reserved Overnight Parking available until 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday.

• There will be no parking on the Fairgrounds. Violators will be towed at the owners’ risk and expense.• Loss or Damage - The Show Committee will use due care and diligence for the welfare of dogs and

exhibitors, but will not be responsible for, or assume any liability in the event of any accident or misfortune, to either dogs or exhibitors participating in these Shows. The welfare of an Exhibitor’s child is assumed to be the responsibility of the Exhibitor/Parent. It is distinctly understood that exhibitors will exercise control and restraint over their children on the day of the shows OR THE EXHIBITOR/PARENT WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE THE SHOW PREMISES.

• The only fresh water available on the grounds will be in the restrooms. Exhibitors are responsible for the water required for the safety and comfort of their dogs. No bathing of dogs on the show grounds.

• Exhibitors and Handlers will be held responsible for clean conditions in and around their grooming area, parking area and hotel room.

• Exhibitors will be responsible for cleaning up after their dogs. X-pens will be provided outside. Exhibitors and handlers must pick up fecal matter deposited by their dogs on the grounds, streets, sidewalks and parking lots.

• Speed limit within the Fairgrounds is 5MPH. Anyone exceeding this speed limit will be subject to an Event Show Hearing, and/or escorted off the grounds immediately.

• If it is necessary to rescue a dog from a parked vehicle on the show grounds or in the parking areas, the club will not be responsible or liable for any damage to the vehicle involved. Animals left in vehicles will be monitored by County Control Officers and Club Members. If animals are in distress due to heat or any other circumstances, the vehicle will be forcibly entered, the animal recovered and the owner cited.

• ALL ELECTRICAL DEVICES WHICH CREATE MULTIPLE OUTLETS MUST BE UL APPROVED AND INCORPORATE A SEPARATE CIRCUIT BREAKER WITHIN THE DEVICE. All electrical cords on floor must be taped.

• No Smoking will be allowed or tolerated in any building on the Show Site. Offenders of the rule shall be subject to a fine not to exceed $50.00, and in the event of continued abuse, shall be asked to leave the show premises.

• TROPHIES – Trophies and prizes will be awarded in the judging rings to the person exhibiting the dog, who will be considered to be the owner or agent of the owner. All claims for trophies and other prizes must be made in the judging ring before the completion of the judging of the breed, and the Show Chairmen advised at once in the event of any discrepancy. No Award will be mailed. The Clubs reserve the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value.

SELECT DOG & SELECT BITCH: Grand Champion Competition – The following categories of dogs are entered in this competition: 1. Dogs that are Champions of Record competing in Best of Breed or Best of Variety class. 2. Dogs transferred to Best of Breed/Variety which according to their owners´ records have completed the requirements for a championship but whose championships are unconfirmed. 3. Champions that win Non-Regular Classes and become eligible for Best of Breed competition. (Altered or spayed CH veteran class winners at independent specialties are eligible.) 4. Winners Dog and Winners Bitch are not eligible for Grand Champion competition. At the judge´s discretion, Grand Championship points may be awarded to: 1. Best of Breed or Variety 2. Best of Opposite 3. Select Dog 4. Select Bitch. Grand Champion competition will not continue beyond Best of Breed competition, and in breeds that are divided into varieties, Grand Champion Competition will not continue beyond Best of Variety competition.

Non-Regular Classes (Involving Multiple Dog Entries)Note: Non-regular classes involving multiple entries may be judged before or after Best of Breed. As the judge’s decision in these classes will be based on the merits of more than one dog, no one of the dogs making up the entry judged first in the class will be eligible to compete for Best of Breed or Best of Opposite Sex to Best of Breed by virtue of having won the class.Stud Dog Class and Brood Bitch Class: Each entry is allowed two get. The merits of the Stud Dog or Brood Bitch are not considered in the placement of the entry. It is the quality of the get that forms the basis for the judge’s decision. All get must be examined and gaited. The Stud Dog or Brood Bitch must also be examined to determine if there is a condition that would require disqualification or excusal under the Rules, AKC policy or the breed standard. All get must be entered in a regular class in order to be eligible to compete in the Stud Dog or Brood Bitch Class. Handlers of the Stud Dog or Brood Bitch, and all get being exhibited, must wear armbands. Ch. 11, Sec. 8 of the “Rules Applying to Dog Shows” provides that “a castrated male may be entered as a Stud Dog in the Stud Dog Class and a spayed bitch may be entered as a Brood Bitch in the Brood Bitch Class.”Brace Class: Two Dogs, performing in unison, and presented by a maximum of two handlers. Both dogs competing in the brace class must have at least one common owner. Dogs do not need to be entered in any other class. Dogs comprising a Brace Class must be named at the time of entry, and full particulars must be given for each dog on individual entry forms. If a dog which is to be part of a Brace is not entered in another class, it must be entered for “Brace Class only.” An entry form for a dog entered in another class and entered as part of a Brace must be marked accordingly in the space provided for additional classes as “Brace Class.”

The club will issue and mail the refund check to the listed owner of the bitch. Bitches in season are not allowed to compete in Obedience and/or Rally trials.

For permanent possession, these Trophies must be won three times, with competition, by the same owner, not necessarily with the same dog, nor at consecutive shows. Owner of the dog shall be considered the person with whom the dog is in permanent residence. Due to the delicate condition of the trophies, they will remain with the donor until permanently won. Non-Regular Classes (Involving multiple dog entries) Bichon Frise & Old English Sheepdogs

Note: Non-regular classes involving multiple entries may be judged before or after Best of Breed. As the judge’s decision in these classes will be based on the merits of more than one dog, no one of the dogs making up the entry judged first in the class will be eligible to compete for Best of Breed or Best of Opposite Sex to Best of Breed by virtue of having won the class.Stud Dog Class and Brood Bitch Class: Each entry is allowed two get unless otherwise specified. The merits of the Stud Dog or Brood Bitch are not considered in the placement of the entry. It is the quality of the get that forms the basis for the judge’s decision. All get must be examined and gaited. The Stud Dog or Brood Bitch must also be examined to determine if there is a condition that would require disqualification or excusal under the Rules, AKC policy or the breed standard. All get must be entered in a regular class in order to be eligible to compete in the Stud Dog or Brood Bitch Class. Handlers of the Stud Dog or Brood Bitch, and all get being exhibited, must wear armbands. Ch. 11, Sec. 8 of the “Rules Applying to Dog Shows” provides that “a castrated male may be entered as a Stud Dog in the Stud Dog Class and a spayed bitch may be entered as a Brood Bitch in the Brood Bitch Class.”Brace Class: Two Dogs, performing in unison, and presented by a maximum of two handlers. Both dogs competing in the brace class must have at least one common owner. Dogs do not need to be entered in any other class. Dogs comprising a Brace Class must be named at the time of entry, and full particulars must be given for each dog on individual entry forms. If a dog which is to be part of a Brace is not entered in another class, it must be entered for “Brace Class only.” An entry form for a dog entered in another class and entered as part of a Brace must be marked accordingly in the space provided for additional classes as “Brace Class.”

BASENJIS AND RHODESIAN RIDGEBACKS ONLYAll Obedience & Rally Classes Will Be Held Indoors. With the approval of the American Kennel Club, Obedience and Rally Trial classes for Basenjis and Rhodesian Ridgebacks will be consolidated to provide maximum efficiency in scheduling and judging. The Judging Program will include a complete list of breeds to be judged, and the order in which they will be judged. All Specialties that are offering Combined Obedience Classes will be judged together. Each dog will be judged and individual scores recorded in the respective breed’s judge’s book. For the group exercises in Obedience, all breeds will be judged in one group. If there are more dogs competing than can be spaced four (4) feet per dog on one side of a ring, some must be judged in another group. The judge will divide the class into equal sections and the group exercise will be judged after each section. Following completion of group exercises, the judge will complete the judge’s books for all dogs entered in each Obedience class in the respective breed’s judge’s book. Ribbons and awards will then be awarded by breed. Qualifying points in Obedience are based on the number of dogs in each breed only. All Specialties that are offering Combined Rally Classes will be judged together. Each dog will be judged and individual scores recorded in the respective breed’s judge’s book. The judge will complete the judge’s books for all dogs entered in each Rally class in the respective breed’s judge’s book. Ribbons and awards will then be awarded by breed.

RESERVED GROOMING RULESReservations must be submitted on this form and sent in by mail no later than MAY 26, 2017.Spaces will be assigned in the order received. EVERYONE MUST FOLLOW THESE IMPORTANT NEW RULES!• Minimum 14 gauge extension cords shall be used to extend electrical service.• Extension cords shall be plugged directly into an electrical outlet and shall, except for approved

multi-plug extension cords, serve only one portable appliance.• The ampacity of the extension cords shall not be less than the rated capacity of the portable

appliance supplied by the cord.• Any cord across an aisle, MUST be taped down with duct tape.• NO EXERCISE PENS allowed in any building other than the Bubble (Centennial Bldg) and those

NOVICE CLASS: For boys and girls who are at least 9 years old and under 18 years old on the day of the show and who at the time entries close have not won three (3) first place awards, with competition present, in a Novice Class at a licensed or member show.

OPEN CLASS: For boys and girls who are at least 9 years old and under 18 years old on the day of the show, and who have won three first place awards in a Novice Class in a licensed or member show, with competition present in the Novice class. Juniors which according to their records have completed the requirements to compete in the Open class but whose status is unconfirmed by the American Kennel Club are limited to competing in the Open Class for a period of 90 days from the date of the show where the Junior completed the requirements according to their records.

MASTER CLASS: This class will be for boys and girls who are at least 9 years old and under 18 years on the day of the show, and who have 10 Best Junior wins with competition. The calendar for this class will be consistent with the eligibility dates for the AKC  Eukanuba National Championship. All Juniors meeting the criteria for this class are required to enter the Master Class and may change their entry the day of the show if entries have already closed. Once the eligibility time frame for that year has passed all participants return to the Open Class to compete for the following year.

NOTICE: Junior Handlers must include their AKC JUNIOR HANDLER NUMBER on each entry. You may obtain your junior identification number by calling the AKC, Judges Education Department, (919) 233-9767. BE SURE ALL INFORMATION for Junior Showmanship Classes is entered on front and back of entry form.NOVICE AND OPEN CLASS DIVIDED : Junior-9 years old and under 12 years old on the day of the show;

Intermediate-12 years old and under 15 years old on the day of the show; Senior-15 years old and under 18 years old on the day of the show.

NOTE: SUBSTITUTION OF DOG IN JUNIOR SHOWMANSHIP AT THE SHOW(S): There will be an Ad-ministration Fee of $5.00 charged for any substitution of dog in Junior Showmanship at each show. In addition, if the dog originally entered in Jr. Showmanship was an additional entry, and the dog being substituted is not otherwise entered in the show, the Junior Showmanship Only fee applies.

NOTICE TO EXHIBITORS – ALL EVENTSThe American Kennel Club Rules and Regulations will govern this Show and Exhibitors must make themselves familiar with the agreement of the American Kennel Club, referred to on the reverse side of the entry blanks that accompany this Show Premium List.

• The American Kennel Club will collect: a $3.00 Event Service Fee and $.50 Recording Fee where applicable for the first entry of a dog, plus a $3.00 service fee for each additional entry of the same dog in the regular and non-regular recordable single-entry classes, in all AKC licensed and member club events. At every licensed or member club rally trial, a recording fee of $3.50 is required for the first entry of each dog and a recording fee of $3.00 is required for each additional entry of the same dog. The event-giving club shall assume the responsibility of collecting all Event Service Fees for The American Kennel Club. These event service and recording fees shall be forwarded to The American Kennel Club along with all other required event results within seven (7) days of the close of the event.

• No Entry will be accepted which specifies any condition as to its acceptance. Telegraph, e-mail and unsigned entries cannot be accepted and will be returned. Entries not on Official AKC Entry Forms and Photocopies of Entry Forms without Agreement and Rules on reverse side are NOT ACCEPTABLE. The Club and/or Baray Events assumes no responsibility for wrong or incomplete information given on the entry blank by the owner or the owner’s agent. RESPONSIBILITY FOR COMPLETENESS OF ENTRY RESTS SOLELY WITH ENTRANT.

• RETURNED CHECKS DO NOT CONSTITUTE A VALID ENTRY FEE. BaRay Events will add a $30.00 collection fee to the amount of each returned check. We will not re-process checks. The exhibitor will be contacted & required to send a money order for the original amount PLUS the $30.00 NSF fee. Subsequent returned checks from same person may result in their being put on a CASH ONLY BASIS.

• REFUNDS for cancellations due to judge change or cancellations made prior to entries closing will be mailed by the Club to said Exhibitor or Agent AFTER THE SHOW. An administrative fee of $5.00 will be withheld from all refunds for entries cancelled prior to the closing of entries.

• Females in season are not permitted to compete in Obedience or Rally Trials. If a female is withdrawn from competition because it came into season and the Superintendent is notified no later than one half hour prior to the start of the first class in the trial, the club is required to refund the entry fee. The club may retain a processing fee and must publish this information in the premium. Clubs may determine the documentation, if any that is required to confirm the female is in season. This shall be stated in the premium. Note: No fee is paid to the AKC for females in season who are withdrawn.

• FAX ENTRIES – Fax entries will be accepted up to closing time. Fee is $4.00 per dog per show. If the credit card charge is denied for any reason, an additional service charge of $20.00 will be added. FAX NUMBER: (360) 755-2248. This is for Fax Machine ONLY. Incomplete or illegible Fax entries are not acceptable as a valid entry in a show. Proof of transmission is not proof of receipt of a legible or complete transmission (under AKC Rule Ch. 11, Sec. 4). • Entries will be acknowledged after entries close with entry acknowledgment and judging program to address on entry. Should Exhibitor NOT receive an acknowledgment within a reasonable time, PLEASE notify BaRay Events at (360) 755-7086 or email [email protected].

• Entry fees shall NOT be refunded in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, sick, lame, excused by the Judge or Veterinarian, or barred from competition by action of the Show Committee, or because it has been entered incorrectly. There is no refund for DUPLICATE ENTRIES or OVERPAYMENTS. If, because of riots, civil disturbances or other acts beyond the control of the management it is impossible to open, or to complete the Show NO REFUND will be made. • Please note: Any hotel or motel listed in the premium list is subject to Event Committee Rules. We expect our exhibitors to be responsible guests. A report that an exhibitor at this show has abused hotel or motel property during this weekend may result in disciplinary action. Clubs reserve the right to decline future entries from the offending party in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 11, Section 15 of the Rules Applying to Dog Shows.

• Dogs need be present only for scheduled judging and will be released if not needed for further judging. Dogs must be ready for judging. Neither the club nor its Superintendent/Show Secretary will be responsible or obligated to furnish any service for notifying exhibitors or their agents of Breed or Class Judging. Judges need not wait for any dog holding up a class. Owners or agents alone are responsible for the presence of their dogs in the judging rings.

• Only dogs eligible for these shows will be admitted into the show area. There is no provision for unentered dogs.• LOSS OR DAMAGE – The Show Committee will use due care and diligence for the welfare of dogs and exhibitors,

but will not be responsible for, or assume any liability in the event of any accident or misfortune, to either dogs or exhibitors participating in these Shows. The welfare of an Exhibitor’s child is assumed to be the responsibility of the Exhibitor. It is distinctly understood that Exhibitors will exercise control and restraint over their children.

• Exhibitors should follow their veterinarians’ recommendation to assure their dogs are free of internal and external parasites, any communicable diseases, and have appropriate vaccinations.

• ALL RIGHTS TO TELEVISE, VIDEOTAPE, ADVERTISE, PHOTOGRAPH, PROMOTE or otherwise exploit this event are vested in the Club, or in persons to whom assignments of such rights have been made in writing by the Club. All persons and animals on the Show Grounds at any time while the show is in progress, do by attending this show or participating therein, grant to the Club the right to photograph, televise, videotape, audiotape or otherwise use their likeness and voice in any manner without further release or consent. The Club is not responsible for the actions or products of the commercial vendors at this show.
