Conclusion & Recommendations
• Option-I and Option-II alignments are longer than the Master Planalignment.
• Major parts of the Master Plan and Option-II alignments requireelevated road/ tunnel while Option-I alignment may beimplemented as at-grade road with only 1 Km elevated road atDelh - Rohtak Railway line and NH-10 crossing.
• Major parts of the Master Plan and Option-II alignments havewidth limitations while Option-I alignment runs in 100m widthexcept at Delhi - Rohtak Railway line and NH-10 crossing.
• The cost of land acquisition & structure demolition compensationfor Option-I alignment is much more than that of Master Plan andOption-II alignment.
• Master Plan & Option-I alignment affect only 3 existing structureswhile Option-II alignment affects a total of 78 structures.
• Construction cost of Option-I alignment (with the proposedfeasible solution) is only 40% of that of Master Plan and Option-IIalignments.
• Option-I alignment involves minimum cost as compared to costinvolvement in Master Plan and Option-II alignments.
• Considering the factors related to technical feasibility, financialinvolvement, land acquisition, structure demolition, ease ofconstruction etc., Option-I is the best suited alignment forproviding connectivity between Kanjhawala Road and NH-10 andrecommended for consideration as new alignment of UER-II.
