This certificate will also lead onto Certificate III in many of the automotive courses. Benefits for students This course will give you the essential skills to gain work as an apprentice within the automotive industry. Pre-Course Experiences/Pre-requisites No pre-requisites to study this qualification, however, suitable for students: In year 11 who have a desire for being part of the Automotive Industry Adequate Literacy & Numeracy Skills, Structured Work Placement Students are required to undertake 140 hours of work placement. This is to be undertaken off site and must be clearly related to the student’s career pathway. A compulsory logbook must be kept and completed by student and work place provider. Navy blue work pants and Steel capped boots to be purchased prior to commencement. This clothing is also compulsory on work placement. Career Pathways Certificate III in Auto Industry Courses Apprenticeships and Traineeships Commencement Date: Term 1 – Week 2 Length of Course: 60 Weeks (Over 2 years) Days: Thursday or Friday Time: 8:30am to 3:30pm – each day Class Size: Max: 15 SACE Credits: Stage 2 up to 50 Cost (Per student): TGSS funded if eligible Non-TGSS students $1,200.00 per Semester GJTTC Administration Fee $420.00 All students An appointment with the VET Coordinator or Counsellor in your school is required to enrol in this course.
