The Knights will also be selling tamales; so come downstairs in the Holy Family Center,and pick some tamales up for Christmas. Proceeds made will support our seminarians.
Re rement Fund for Religious - December 8-9, 2018 Proceeds from the annual Re rement Fund for Religious appeal enable the Na onal Religious Re rement Office to distribute financial assistance to hundreds of religious communi es each year. The majority of dona ons—ordinarily 80 to 90 percent—are distributed as Direct Care Assistance. Addi onal funding is allocated throughout the year for communi es with the greatest needs and for re rement educa on and programming.
Rosary Ministry: Please join us praying the World Mission Scriptural Rosary on Friday December 14th at 9:15 am. This rosary honors the work of mission, our call to be missioners, and world unity and peace through its special emphasis on each of the Earth’s regions. We will provide a rosary and the informa on on praying it.
OLOL Angel Tree
Each year, Our Lady of the Lake and the Catholic Mothers' Community sponsors an angel tree to provide members of our community who are less fortunate with Christmas gi s for their family. Please consider providing a gi to aid a family in need. Any amount of support is greatly appreciated!
Angel tree gi s can be returned to the totes under the tree and are due no later than December 9th.

PARENTING POINTERS
Advent is about waiting and preparing. If you don’t already have an Advent wreath, get one and light one candle the first week; two candles the next, etc. As the candles increase, children see the gradual movement toward Christmas. Let the light teach your child about waiting.
Usher Ambassadors Wanted
Looking for a more ac ve way to serve God and the parish, but worried about having the me to commit to a parish ministry . Joining our parish team of “Usher Ambassadors is a great way to serve during Mass that won’t put a strain on your busy schedule.
What is expected of ushers?
Ushers assist during the Mass, serve as ambassadors of the church, and ensure the parish community is able to worship in a safe, friendly and nurturing environment. Some specific tasks include gree ng parish members and guest, helping people find seats, collec ng the offering, coun ng a endance at Mass, ushering people to Communion, and handing out weekly bulle ns a er Mass. Eucharistic Ministry to Nursing Homes and the Homebound
This ministry is for those called by compassion to be the presence of Christ to the most vulnerable. By reasons of our bap sm, all Chris ans have a special share in the ministry to the sick and aging. Through the giving of the Eucharist, a en ve listening, sharing prayer, offering reassurance and being present, ministers will bring the Body of Christ to those who cannot join us physically in worship. Serving as an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion at mass is not a requirement. Ongoing training will be provided. All ministers to the nursing home and homebound must have updated safe environment clearance.
