The Power Within You

Why Weapons of Power: For the weapons of our warfare are notcarnal but mighty in God for pulling down stronghold, casting downimaginations(arguments) and every high thing that exalts itselfagainst the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivityto the obedience of Christ.

2 Corinthians 10:4&5

The Youth of Now are weathering the storms of Lesbianism, drug addiction, violent

crimes, losing themselves before they even find themselves in the darkness of theworld. Those already in the church are lkacking the relationship they need toovercome the temptation of the world system which is driven by the prince of thisworld. Every turn they are subjected to the demonic , in the music they experience,the cultures of Hip-Hop, the sexualism of the media and the glorification of thecorruptness of society.

Our Youth need to know that they have power! Jesus Christ gave YOU POWER!The bible says if you believe what you pray for that you will have it, If you worship the

Lord in the spirit of holiness you will be blessed, and I f you praise God even in thetough times as well as the good that He will give you peace.

God is raising up a remnant of Now Youth that are not afraid to tap into the powerand presence of God. They are not afraid to live righteously for the Lord or have a life

consecrated to Him in holiness, because they are seeking the glory of God to berevealed in their lives.

WHAT ISPRAYER: An intimate communication withGod.

the effectual fervent prayer of a righteous manavaileth much. James 5:16

1. Palal: To pray, intervene, mediate, judge. Interceding for,prayer on behalf of (to mediate, to come between two parties).

2. Tepillah: Prayer, to make a request3. Euchomai: To pray(to God) or wish, I would, wished for, or could

wish.4. Proseuchomai: To pray to God5. Euche: A prayer, A vow6. Deesis: A wanting, a need, then, an asking, entreaty,

supplication.

The Lord Jesus Christ desires a relationship with you, He wants toshare His spirit, His Authority and His unconditional Love with youevery day. Prayer is one way you can communicate your intimate,deepest, feelings and emotions with Him and unlike a physical friend(natural man) you dont have to worry about Him judging you and Hehas all the answers!

How to pray: Matthew 6:9-13

1. Acknowledge Him for who He is:Lord, Savior, Father, Holy God

2. Ask Him to let His will be done in your life3. Thank Him for all He has done for you:

4. Ask Him to forgive you for known and unknown sins5. Ask Him to protect you from temptations(peer pressure,lust,etc.)

6. Enter your petition or special request to God7. Thank Him in advance for doing it(letting His will be done)8. In Jesus name Amen!

The Names of God: Praying His Name

Adoni: Lord, Lord over us, my ruler

EloHim: God, Creator

Jehovah: God, Holy God

El-Shaddai: God Almighty, the all sufficientone

Use one of His names in a prayer a day to get to know Him better,and see how He blesses you with a more intimate prayer life.

Knowing that you do not belong to yourself but that you

were brought with a price, the blood of jesus.If you have ever been in the presence of God, His presence is soawesome that you will at times find yourself laying flat on the floorface down, in total surrender to Him, just experiencing Hisawesome, glorious presence

The Names of God: Worshiping His Name

Jehovah-Jireh:The Lord will provide; Our provider

Jehovah-Nissi:TheLord is my banner, the Lord is myrefuge.

Jehovah-Shammah:The Lord is there

Jehovah-Rophe:The Lord our Healer

Try using one of these names in your intimate time with the Lord, He hasprovided for you, He has protected you in times of trouble, He has healedyou(your broken heart) and He is always there for you.

Ex. Jehovah- Jireh, thank you for my many blessings, my home, my food,my clothes but most importantly my Salvation.

How do you praise God?

You can praise God with a hand clap, singing a hymn or song fromyour spirit to God, give Him the highest praise by yelling Hallelujahor dancing like King David danced (2 Sam. 6:14). The importantthing is that you show gratitude to God for all the blessings,

miracles, wisdom and grace that He has show you. Leteverything that have breath praise the Lord. Psalm 150:6
