1. Project Name: ARM Based Vehicle Tracking & Security System Using GPS and GSM Module

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

An ARM Based Vehicle Tracking & Security system using GPS and GSM Module combines the installation of an electronic device in a vehicle, or fleet of vehicles, with purpose-designed computer software to enable the owner or a third party to track the vehicle's location, collecting data in the process. Modern vehicle tracking systems commonly use Global Positioning System (GPS) technology for locating the vehicle, but other types of automatic vehicle location technology can also be used. Vehicle information can be viewed on electronic maps via the Internet or specialized software. In the main they are easy to steal, and the average motorist has very little knowledge of what it is all about. To avoid this kind of steal, we have implemented a system that provides more security to the vehicle. The main motto of the project is to use the wireless technology effectively for the automotive environments by using the GSM Modem used in sending SMS in case of theft intimation.

2. Project Name: Wireless Industrial Automation With Portable Receiver College MLBP-BelgaumRole Team Member Duration 4 month Jan 2008-April 2008Team Size Project: 5

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

In Industries there are many different processes and production. But in this project we are designing a demonstration process on heating or boiler monitoring and controlling. In this project, we have automated the whole boiler monitoring system and wirelessly inform it to the owner. The process is as follows: if there is any variation in the temperature, the sensor senses and activates a coolant blower and the blower is put on for a period which is proportional to the varied temperature. Blowers are put off when the temperature becomes normal. Again if the temperature is varied, the process is repeated and hence maintaining a constant temperature. The wireless transceiver is situated near the concerned person.
