PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERING EXPERIENCE

Product Engineer NVH Co-op - ZFTRW Sep 2016 – Till Date Conduct NVH measurements, tests and analysis on brake components (FRF, ODS, Modal analysis) Perform Modal Analysis on brake assembly and components. Operational data acquisition on vehicle components for sound quality analysis Root cause analysis, development and testing of effective countermeasures. Conduct NVH measurements, tests and

analysis on component and vehicle Communicate & work with cross functional teams such as design and CAE Perform Test on Dynamometer for cold and warm noise and evaluate the results for OEM’S

Mechanical Engineer - Minda Stoneridge LTD, Pune May 2013 – Oct 2014 Good quality fine mesh generation in Hypermesh for Shell and Solid components. In analysis, the major working areas are meshing, connections for the whole assembly, deck preparation, error debugging,

submitting the run and checking model behavior after completion of the run Strength analysis of Leaf spring:

This analysis was a Nonlinear static analysis for von-mises stress distribution of leaf spring. Modeling and deck preparation has done in hyper mesh, contacts were given at the centre of leaf spring between U-bolt, saddle, spacer, leafs, lower bracket and axle and also sliding parameter has defined between leafs. At front and rear end of leafs contact pairs were created.

Strength analysis of Urea tank mounting bracket The Purpose of this project was to find maximum stress and stiffness for checking strength of mounting bracket, frame and urea tank. This analysis was conducted for different mounting brackets for checking the strength. In this contacts were created between pipe and bracket, between bracket and frame and between bracket and urea tank.

Concluded the technical discussion with the new prospect with sales team and converted the prospect into customer/ increasing the company’s turn over

Application Engineer - Mark Design Solution Pvt LTD, Pune Aug 2011 – March 2013

Understand the pain points of the customer regarding their product design and provided them solution for design productivity improvement

Implemented Knowledge Base Engineering (KBE) Automated Solution at Client end Provided the technical Support for HyperMesh, HyperWorks, HyperGraph, Hyper View Provided technical support to CAD tools, CADEC Plus and their related activities. Tested the different modules of software manually and developed the Training manual (CADEC-Plus)

Project: Implemented the solution for selection of hinges, calculated proper positioning and number of hinges depending upon weight and application, required by the client in industrial and commercial projects

Project: Configure the application for GA layout, Fabrication drawing for frame on which the assembly is mounted and generation of Bill of Material (BOM) according the selection of Pump, Motor and Type of layout. Response time of Sales team reduce drastically and the percentage of conversion of prospect into Client is increased, finally increasing the total turnover

Mechanical Engineer - Sky Elevators Pvt LTD, Pune Dec 2009 – Aug 2011 Preliminary Conceptual Design, evaluation of Design Alternatives, created the Drawing, and made 3D model in CAD Package. Modelling and Assembly of Parts in Solid Edge, Preparation and Release of CAD drawing and Concern Documentation for

Production. (Solid Edge) Done the static Analysis for beams and columns for lift using Hypermesh Conducted finite element stress, stiffness and modal analyses Development of Car Parking Lot: Preliminary study for the design is completed. Work involved concept building, complete

mechanical design and drafting responsibilities of machined and sheet metal components (Solid Edge), and to determine dimensional constraints and geometric tolerances required for proper clearances and fits while maximizing manufacturing

capabilities, including Product Development, Prototype development, assembly-structure and product life cycle management (Teamcenter) of car parking lot

Development of Commercial Elevator: Completed the study of Maharashtra safety Act for elevators, Design and implementation of commercial lift for a housing society and commercial complex. Completed the 3D assembly of first prototype and quality check of manufactured parts

COLLEGE PROJECTS FSAE Hybrid Project at Wayne State University:

Working with Analysis team, took a responsibility in design and analysis of outer structure of car. (HM-13.0)

Expertise in the design of Roll cage and chassis subsystems.

Fall-15

Academic Project at Wayne State University:

Analysis of Thermo-couple, stresses, Temperature, Deformation & behavior by varying thermal properties Fall-15

Linear static and Vibration analysis of Beam with different cross section using HyperMesh 13.0 Fall-15

FE analysis to determine the Crashworthiness of a pickup truck in a Side Impact: FMVSS214: Winter-16

Debug Stabilize and setup the car and pole for side impact. Positioned SID-2s dummy within the truck and determined the vehicle velocity and dummy chest velocity profiles. Also, determined the different acceleration values for the dummy. (Used Hypermesh-13 for pre-processing)

75/90-degree pole impact setup at velocities of 20 and 18mph respectively.

Studied the effects of increasing the yield stress by increasing the SIGY values of Critical components of the car by 50 and 100 percent.

The effects of reinforcements to critical components in side impact analysis were observed.

Pre & Post Processing: LS Pre-Post, Hyper Mesh & Hyper View; Solver: LS-DYNA

Vehicle Roof Crush Simulation: Winter-16

Quasi-static roof crush & Dynamic drop simulation based on FMVSS 216 test procedure was conducted

Strength-to-Weight ratio (SWR) of the FE model was compared to test data.

What if analysis has been conducted using composite materials and also roof has been strengthened with less increase in mass compared to increased stiffness.

Super plastic forming simulation of Pre-Formed Sheet: Winter-16

Pre-formed sheet of 2 mm thickness is formed more to undergo more plastic deformation with controlled strain rates.

Analysis is performed with applying pressure of 300Mpa, and What if analysis is conducted to improve the material behavior. (Software used :Abaqus CAE and SolidWorks)
