Responsibilities: Finite element analysis (FEA) to comply with the ASME Section VIII Div. 1 using the guidelines of ASME Sec. VIII Div. 2. Static linear analysis using FEA tool to components with non regular shapes like rectangular and oval flanges, Tubesheets,

etc. used in various Shell and tube heat exchanger of vapor absorption chillers. Mechanical design of pressure vessel, heat exchanger associated with the chiller packages to comply the requirement of the

ASME “U” stamp and European unions’ Pressure Equipment Directive “ CE” marking. Design of pressure vessel, heat exchanger as per ASME Sec VIII Div.1, TEMA standard, etc. Wind and seismic design of pressure vessel and heat exchangers as per IS codes. Coordination with third party inspection body (AI and design surveyor) and client for the design approval. Nozzle load calculation as per WRC bulletins. Checking & reviewing of calculation, drawings and Bill of Material. Optimization of design using FEA and other CAD tools. Parametric modeling of chillers and its components for the optimization of design. Making of programs in Auto Lisp, Spread Sheets and Technical Presentations related to Design and Engineering Coordination with vendors for outsourcing the design work and new vendor development for drawing and BOM

automations.

Achievements: Developed the procedure for the FEA analysis of the non circular components with the mutual discussion with third party

design surveyor for the compliance of ASME and PED requirements. Successfully implements the 3D modeling and drawing generation practices for Vapour Absorption Chiller. Successfully developed a new Vendor named “TATA AutoComp system Limited, Pune” & “Treknocom Engineers
