The Slovenian city of Log Dragomer was the venue of the fourth IFSC Bouldering World Cup competition of the ongoing season last Saturday: Accompanied by live music and an enthusiastic Slovenian crowd Anna Stöhr and Sean McColl climbed to gold at the Sports Park Log!

And once again the competition in Log Dragomer showed that all things are possible with World Cup climbing: While Australia’s James Kassay reached the first IFSC finals of his career, season constants Guillaume Glairon Mondet, Rustam Gelmanov, Kilian Fischhuber, Kitzbühel-winner Jakob Schubert as well as Alex Puccio already foundered on the semi-finals in Slovenia.

Strong, stronger, Anna Stöhr

With the greatest of ease Anna Stöhr, Austria’s highflyer and double world champion continued her wave of success and walked away with the fourth gold medal in the fourth comp in 2013. Places two and three went to Melissa Le Neve (FRA) and Shauna Coxsey (GB), fifth and fourth after the semi-finals.

Golden debut for Sean McColl

There was much variety in the men’s competition. With the first gold medal for Sean McColl in a Bouldering World Cup competition the Canadian allrounder was the fourth male athlete on top of the podium this season. Jan Hojer from Germany finished second in Slovenia, followed by Overall Bouldering World Cup leader Dmitrii Sharafutdinov and Cédric Lachat, leader after the semi-finals.

THE INCREDIBLE: FOURTH WIN IN A ROW FOR ANNA STÖHR, FIRST BOULDERING GOLD FOR SEAN MCCOLL
