PowerBRiC Central Inverter

FlexibleThe unique PowerBRiC inverter has been cost-efficiently designed with a compact architecture. With the standard 19” rack mounting configuration, integration into a complete solution is simple. The inverter can either easily fit into the same rack structure as most batteries or be placed in a separate rack. The PowerBRiC is designed as a string inverter. But, its patented ability to be hard paralleled on both AC and DC sides allows it to be configured into a central inverter or a central string inverter, giving it the advantages of both central and string inverter concepts. Because PowerBRiC can be configured into the appropriate size based on the same 125kW building block, it is suitable for both front-of-the-meter and behind-the-meter applications.

The Central PowerBRiCLS Energy Solutions also offer the PowerBRiC as an outdoor rated Central inverter. The 1MW Central BRiC includes qty (8) PowerBRiC’s, AC and DC protection and has built in redundancy; if one 125kW PowerBRiC module goes down, the Central BRiC automatically derates by this amount to achieve highest possible availability. It’s patented paralleling capability also allows the Central BRiC to be flexible on the DC side - users can optimize battery configuration by choosing from 1, 2, 4 or 8 separate DC connections. Even though the 1MW configuration is a standard Central inverter offering, because of the flexibility of the PowerBRiC, LS Energy Solutions can offer other power sizes and configurations, both larger and smaller than 1MW.

SmartThe PowerBRiC comes equipped with a wide range of advanced control functionality including real and reactive power control. Because of its MESA-compliant communications interface, it is easily integrated with other energy storage system components, saving time and money during integration.
