The Regulator! The General Medical Council has a framework which includes key

standards: These standards have been included within 3 documents

Standards for curricula and assessment systems Generic Standards for Specialty including GP Training Standards for deaneries

Standard 8 of the Generic Standards document, ‘Educational Resources and Capacity’ makes a mandatory requirement that

‘all Trusts ensure trainees have access to educational facilities (including a library) and that resources (including access to the internet in all workplaces) are of a standard to enable trainees to achieve the outcomes of the specialty programme as specified in the approved curriculum’
