Scope of Position:

At the Erwin, TN manufacturing facility, the Quality Manager will plan, coordinate, and direct the quality control program designed to ensure continuous production of products consistent with established standards by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate Quality Engineers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Develop and analyze statistical data and product specifications to determine present standards and establish proposed quality and reliability expectancy of finished product.

Formulate and maintain quality control objectives complementary to corporate policies and goals.

Create and implement inspection criteria and procedures. Interpret quality control philosophy to key personnel within the organization. Coordinate objectives with production procedures in cooperation with other

plant managers to maximize product reliability and minimize costs. Provide inspection activity for product throughout production cycle. Apply Total Quality Management tools and approaches to analytical and

reporting processes within each department. Direct workers engaged in inspection and testing activities to ensure continuous

control over materials, facilities, and products. Work with vendors to ensure quality of all purchased parts for company use. Create and direct environmental test functions. Play active role on quality management teams within organization. Design and implement quality control training program to key personnel in

conjunction with managers. Investigate and adjust customer complaints regarding quality

Experience and Education:

The successful candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Management/Business Related Degree, with demonstrated skills. A minimum of five years’ experience as a QA manager in a manufacturing setting is required. Automotive, PPAP’s, ISO9000/ TS16949 experience is preferred.

Critical Skills and Competencies:

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

ASQ certification (CQE, CMQ/OE, CSSBB, etc…) Excellent interpersonal, managerial, and time management skills. Close familiarity with the tools, concepts and methodologies of Quality

Management. Eye for detail – Plans and organizes tactics for improvements at work. Leadership presence – Possess the ability to interest and convince others when

changes are required. Presentation and technology leading skills, results-oriented person. Must demonstrate exceptional analytical, written and oral communication skills,

as well commonly used software applications such as Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Compensation:

A base salary and discretionary bonus plan are included, along with a full benefits program.
