DAY 1: CHALON-SUR-SANEWelcome to Chalon-sur-Sane. After boarding your ship, you have time torelax, or join a welcome walk before this evenings welcome cocktail anddinner.

DAY 2: BEAUNEAfter breakfast, take a scenic drive along Frances Burgundy wine regionthrough Pommard, Volnay and Meursault. Arrive in Beaune, wine capital ofBurgundy, for a guided tour of Htel Dieu and learn about local wine

production, then enjoy a wine tasting at one of Beaunes famous wine cellars.DAY 3: LYONAfter a morning cruise, you will have a tour of Lyon, a UNESCO World HeritageSite. Visit the Basilica of Notre Dame and pass the magnificent St. JeanCathedral and Palace of Justice. Then take a walking tour through the cobbledstreets of the Old Town, followed by some free time. Dinner is served aboard.

DAY 4: LYON & VIENNEYour morning is at leisure to further explore this 2,000-year-old city. Thisafternoon, take a walking tour of nearby Vienne, a beautiful town with anancient Roman past. Visit the Temple of Augustus and Livia and the Romanamphitheatre. Return to your ship for dinner and an evening departure.

DAY 5: TOURNON & VIVIERS

During your guided tour learn about the regions traditions in wine-making.Enjoy a wine tasting followed by a visit to the Muse de Tain LHermitage,located in the oldest house in the region. Arrive after dinner in Viviers andtake an evening stroll through the Old Town with buildings dating back to theMiddle Ages.

DAY 6: ARLESOn your walking tour of Arles, you will see many Gallo-Roman ruins includingLes Arnes, an ancient 20,000-seat amphitheatre that is still used today. Thecitys vibrant colours were an inspiration to Vincent van Gogh. Return forlunch followed by free time.

DAY 7: AVIGNONThis morning, enjoy a walking tour of Avignon, home to seven popes from1309-1377. Stop at the Pont dAvignon for amazing views and walk the Place

de lHorloge. Continue to the renowned Palace of the Popes for a guided tour.Then explore Avignon on your own, or join an optional tour to Chteauneuf-du-Pape to visit the vineyards. Your ship remains docked overnight.

DAY 8: AVIGNONYour Portraits of Southern France tour concludes after breakfast.
