JOSHUA BARLOW

An award winning media artist with experience in web, print, video, and sound design. He has produced for non-profit, industry, and news organizations, and is well versed in the nuts and bolts of design and delivery technologies.

In the late 1990’s, Joshua signed on as a Web Producer for National Public Radio in Washington, DC. where he coordinated several news and cultural projects, including the 2000 Presidential Election, and Lost & Found Sound – which won a 2000 Webby Award from the Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences.

In 2001, Joshua joined Transom.org – A showcase and workshop for new public radio. Serving as Web Director, he designed the site, set up content management systems, and worked with producers to create both original content and educational materials. In 2004, Transom became the first web site to win the heralded George Foster Peabody Award.

From 2005-2011, Joshua worked for Next Tier Concepts as a Media Specialist. Working with both government and industry clients, he developed video, graphics, and interactive applications for web based e-learning. He also served as voice over artist for promotional and tutorial videos.

Since 2012, Joshua has been an independent consultant helping a wide variety of organizations develop and implement their web and media strategies.
