From a young age I was submerged in building and construction, my father was a builder in my hometown and I grew up surrounded by the construction sector. I always showed an interest in buildings, construction and especially old buildings from my studies these interests have developed to conceptual design, realistic rendering, and specific detail design.

I was always involved with other aspects in college, wanting to help and improve other people is an ongoing goal of mine and one of my prized attributes. This became clear when i got involved in my Students Union and was elected to the part-time position of Union Rep two years running.

Throughout my education, volunteer work, employment in various feilds and internship, I have learnt to work successfully as part of a team as well as individually while corresponding efficiently and effectively with the customers and management.

I believe that through my extensive and unique experiences I have gained and developed many skills and characteristics that make me a valuable person. I succeed in team environments while maintaining my autonomy, individual development and success working alone.

In my third year I ran an election for the part time officer position of Union Rep. This position required representing and training the class reps of the college as well as representing the college as a whole on a national level. I learned a lot in my time in the Students’ Union, organizational, interpersonal, group work, representational, there was also a constant learning.

My biggest achievement in the Students Union was developing the Class Rep Handbook. This manual has all the information, guidance and advice to be a successful class rep and will be used and developed for years to come.
