Architectural Design CompetitionA university restaurant «SABRA»

Kairouan - Tunisia.

Client : Ministry of Higher Education , TunisiaArea : 2.025 m²April 2014 Result : waiting

Description

The university restaurant, ordered by the Regional Council of Kairouan, has a capacity of 650 seats spread over four rooms. It is located in the university campus in Recada in Kairouan.This architectural response was developed to meet the different requirements of the client. The proposed project is based on the following intentions:- Designing a building adopting a sober architecture, coping with the orientation and the climate of the region.- Consider the retracted position of the building site by creating a landscaped space, carrying stu-dents to the restaurant and encouraging meetings.- The main entrance is enhanced by treatment with double height allowing the reception of a flow of 500 students. - Consider the specific functional aspect of a university restaurant , with two distribution lines for

students and two rooms, a room for academics and another for workers.

Architectural Design Competitiona pulmonology department «IBN Nafis»

Abderrahmane Mami hospital , Ariana - Tunisia.

Client : Ministry of Health , TunisiaArea : 1.350 m²March 2014 Result : ranked 7th

Description

The Ministry of Health organized a national competition to build a pulmonology department in the hospital “Abderrahmane Mami” in Ariana, Tunisia.The proposed project comes in pure forms, reflecting the functional aspect of the building. The ar-chitectural response was based on the following guiding principles:- Insertion of the project into the site, considering the hilly terrain.- The search for a specific architectural image to a health institution, emphasizes on minimalism and simplicity.- Ensure the independence of the different entities of the project while maintaining an interrela-tionship between them.- Provide a good orientation for the rooms block, optimizing the thermal comfort of patients while promoting energy conservation.

El Omrane - Tunis - Tunisia.

Description

As part of meeting the needs of the student community, the Ministry of higher education and scien-tific research aims to reconstruct a university restaurant witha capacity of 300 seats.The construction site of the restaurant is located in El Omran near university residencess; the construction of the restaurant in this location will help to create a socio-educational center in the area.On the recommendations of the project owner, the functional aspect was favored.

Tabarka - Jendouba - Tunisia.

Client : Ministry of youth and sports , TunisiaArea : 2.010 m²June 2014 Result : 3rd prize

Description

The sports hall of Tabarka is a public equipment aiming to strengthen the sports infrastructure in the region. It will house academic and professional sporting events of the city.The adopted architectural design is based on the following intentions: be inspired by the local ar-chitectural ry heritage with a contemporary interpretation and providing comfort for all the users.For a desire of integration and consideration of climatic specificities of the region including the sunshine path and high rainfall; it was decided to design sober facades fitted with openings adap-ted to the orientation, and adopting a sloping roof:

Architectural Design CompetitionAn Estate Court

Beja - Tunisia.

Client : Ministry of Justice , TunisiaArea : 1.685 m²March 2014 Result : 3rd prize

Description

The real estate court of Beja will be built on a parcel located in an area of public facilities and cha-racterized by hills, and the presence of dense vegetation.To highlight this specific type of this public facility, there are needs to adopt an innovative design loaded with symbolism. The main idea in the building design attempts to reflect architecture loaded reflecting some values, specially independence and impartiality.And, we had to meet the specific functioning of the court (including internal paths): in this context, judges offices were characterized by an ease of access and communication but respecting their confidentiality.
