QUALITY AND COMPETITIVENESS

Electrical installations

In the field of electricity, dte acts in various areas. The implementation of electrical installations using energy in residential buildings,

commercial buildings and industrial units are part of their production capacity.

The interior and exterior lighting of buildings, public lighting and the installation of transformation stations,

in addition to the implementation of medium and low voltage electrical infrastructures, are areas to which dte has a rapid,

efficient response, being able to ensure the creation of value for its clients.

On electro-hydromechanical works contracts, the specialist area of automation and control ensures that an

integrated service can be offered to the final client.

Installation of hydromechanical/hydraulic networks

Meeting the demands of the market, dte has acquired great experience in the installation of hydromechanical systems

in the field of hydraulic networks. The commitment of the company in this type of works contracts enables it to ensure

quality in the implementation of the works to be undertaken and the equipment to be applied.

dte has highly specialised technical teams with the know-how to carry out all kinds of

BUSINESS AREAS

Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning(HVAC)

The acclimatisation of large spaces (commercial, industrial etc.) and the need to ensure an environment with quality,

temperatures and humidities at previously established values, require the intervention of specialists with a high

level of knowledge. To solve the requirements of its clients in terms of system efficiency, in addition to well prepared professionals,

dte has monitored the evolution of the sector, being committed to the diversity of products and the quality of its services.

Renewables Energies

Being aware of the importance of producing clean energies and making the most of the opportunity which compliance

with the European goals has imposed as regards electrical energy production, dte has entered this new business area and installs

renewable energy production systems. To this end, it formed a department specialised in the installation of these systems

(photovoltaic solar panels) of small, medium-sized and great power, sizing and designing systems of the same nature.

dte is registered with the DGEG (Directorate-General of Energy and Geology) as an entity which installs mini production and

micro production systems and photovoltaic farms. In its works portfolio it has a wide range of references which attest to its experience and capacity.

Telecomunications and New Generation Systems

The need to implement New Generation Systems means that dte is at the vanguard of Fibre Optic installation.

Exploiting the synergies of the group, in the telecommunications' sector it has already installed hundreds of kilometres of

Fiber Optics and it is groundbreaking in the installation of New Generation Systems.

In addition to the construction of these systems, it is incumbent on dte to maintain them,

ensuring the re-establishment of the services in less than 4 hours.

in a unique architectonic proposal in which two sports installations works alongside

each other in a unique, state-of-the-art building.

MUNICIPAL SWIMMING POOLS OF GUIFÕES

The municipal swimming pools building of Vila Praia de Âncora takes up a total areas of around 12 882 square metres

at the technological vanguard. The swimming pool has eight lanes with two of them being extendable to Olympic

size so as to allow professional training. There is also a swimming pool for children.

The complex provides a jacuzzi, gym, sauna and Turkish bath, massage rooms, two gym studios,

a squash court and on the exterior, a tennis court and a car park.

The AXA Stadium or Braga Municipal Stadium was designed by the architect Eduardo Souto Moura and built in the context of Euro 2004.

This is a project endowed with innovative architectonic lines characteristic of a stadium with 30 000 seats and only two side stands.

The tops of the stadium comprise a rock amphitheatre on the hillside.

Works carried out:

Upgrading of this symbolic building which involved the recovery of its original features (exterior and interior) and the upgrading of the Assembly Room, the Foyer and the Great Hall.

Two new rooms were created, one with 250 places and the other for rehearsals, a museological area, an arts bookshop, a restaurant, a café-chantant and bars.

The great hall is equipped for all kinds of arts performed in theatre halls, also being endowed with one of the best sound systems in Europe.

The remodelling was based on a project by the architect and university lecturer Alexandre Alves Costa, who decided to only retain the volumetry and façade of the former movie theatre.

The great hall, situated on the second of two storeys, sets 240 people and the chairs are removable,

allowing its adaptation to any kind of show. On the lower storey there is a small multipurpose room for conferences, exhibitions and small concerts.

The roof of the renovated theatre is made of bronze and, at the apex of the tower which is 14 metres high, there is a light, a type of lighthouse which serves as a symbol of the new space.

A two building unit with three storeys each, one of which is the actual Theatre which is fan-shaped and the other is the Rehearsals Room which is rectangular.

It was built between 1959 and 1961, only opening for occasional shows.

In 1966 a cinema projection machine was installed and since then the cinematographic industry has been prioritised.

It is made up of a room with between 500 and 1 000 seats distributed amongst the audience and balcony and a quadrangular stage.

Rehabilitation and revitalisation of Fonseca Moreira Theatre to operate as the House of Arts of Felgueiras – Theatre and Café-chantant.

The project included the preservation and rehabilitation of the exterior image and the façades of the existing building, though all of the interior is new.

The theatre has a room seating around 300 spectators with a 120 stage, workshops, dressing rooms for 24 artists,

exhibition room in the large foyer and a Café-chantant which takes up the space of a former adjoining auto workshop.

The Design Institute stands out as a new equipment of the city of Guimarães. Housed in Couros, more specifically in the former tannery factory of Ramada, this building has undergone extensive

remodelling works as part of the Campurbis project, as a result of a partnership between the Town Hall and the University of Minho.

This project is specially intended to work as an opened knowledge centre and as a privileged communication platform between the industry and the academy,

aiming the development of economy by means of design and its own project.

With more than of surface area, and intended to house the national collection of Coaches, the new Coach Museum located in the Belém, Lisbon, is characterized by its modern architecture.

Amongst the buildings that compose the project, stands out a pedestrian bridge with more than 180 m of length which connects the Belém Fluvial Station to the Exhibition Hall of the museum and to its adjacent building

In addition to other significant facilities, the new Coach Museum also comprises commercial and restaurant premises, an auditorium for 300 people,

offices intended for administrative services, restoration and conservation workshops and also support and warehouse premises for fragile materials.

The purpose of this works contract was the construction of six new school buildings and the rehabilitation of two already existing buildings

so as to ensure the improvement in the school infrastructures and the expansion of the school system,

providing the education establishment with the greatest sophistication and state-of-the-art technology resources available on the market.

Upgraded school in the context of the existing schools works. School with major professional and technical education component whose remodelling entailed the doubling of

the construction volume and a significant improvement in the surrounding exterior spaces.

An administrative and social building was constructed and the workshops were subject to major remodelling.

It also has new socio-educational support, management and administration spaces such as a secretary and a principal's room.

In addition to these new areas, the school has general support spaces comprising a brand new kitchen, snack bar and canteen as well as the school shop.

The sports' spaces were also totally remodelled.

The Quinta do Vieira Primary School was built from scratch and it is equipped with two rooms intended for

preschool education and 10 rooms for the junior, in addition to all the support structures (refectory/multipurpose room, library, staff room, playground and sports pitch).

This Primary School serves the parish of Custóias, having included an education/teaching establishment.

The Padrão da Légua Preschool and Primary School, located in the parish of Leça do Balio is a new facility comprising three rooms for pre-school,

Eight rooms for Primary School, a library, a staff room, a non-teaching staff room, kitchen, refectory,

multipurpose room for physical and sports activity and a room for quality Curricular Enrichment Activities (AEC).

The construction of the primary and secondary school of Maia, located in Avenida Luís de Camões embraced the execution of the installations project and mechanical equipment in nine different buildings,

able to work independently and interconnected by means of outdoor covered walkways.

The solutions implemented with regard to air treatment systems and cold and heat production took into account the location of the building alongside its architectural and acoustic constraints,

as well as the comfort conditions to be created in indoor spaces.

Remodelling and expansion of the Basic Emergency Service of the Hospital Conde de Bertiandos in Ponte de Lima.

The final project result envisaged a functional, formal and volumetric alteration to the building so as to expand the installations

and overcome the problems of space and coordination between the various hospital unit services.

Extension of Sintra Campus with an approximate area of 32 hectares where roads,

accesses and the surrounding exterior works were carried out.

Works carried out:

The new pedestrian pathway along the banks of the River Ave in the town of Santo Tirso is a plan with added-value for the town's inhabitants and visitors.

The path is lovely in its design and blends carefully with the surrounding nature.

The work of the architect Paul Santos Pereira, this project includes several features that form a link between the town and the Rabada Urban Park and

it provides around 1.4 km of a pedestrian and cyclist path, laid out on an elevated decked platform throughout.

Along the pathway those using it can enjoy environmental, decorative lighting that creates a special environment that adds to the enjoyment of the stunning surrounding landscape

The new Wastewater Treatment Plant of Ruães has as purpose, in the project's horizon year, the treatment of domestic effluents from a population equivalent to 20 000 inhabitants,

3 3with a capacity of 3000 m /day and a peak discharge of 324 m /h.

In order to ensure the environmental parameters of discharges, the WWTP operates continuously by means af a Mechanical and Biological Treatment of waste waters and

the treatment of mud produced for later recovery.

The WWTP is also equipped with a secondary treatment able to remove not only the carbon in effluents but also the nitrogen oxide by means of a denitrification and

nitrification process, complemented by the chemical and biological removal of phosphorus and by aerobic stabilisation of sludge.

THE NORT, THE ALENTEJO AND THE ALGARVE

As the maximum exponent in terms of telecommunications, dte has two new projects which cover the Northern region and the Alentejo and Algarve

regions with a total of 80 districts nationwide, namely 44 in the Northern region and 36 in the Alentejo and Algarve regions with around 9 000 km of Fiber Optics cable.

It is a New Generation Network which allows broad band to be taken to the less developed areas of the country.
