Moresports is a neighbourhood based after school program that provides physical activity opportunities to children at their own school. The focus is on fun, inclusion and connecting kids to sport, other kids and older youth mentors. The partnership between School District 43, City of Coquitlam and a host of other supporters assures that the costs are kept low and that there are no barriers to anyone participating.

Bricks 4 Kidz After School Robotics
Starting Monday September 25th for 8 weeks 3-4pm for grades k-5
Mission to space Robotics
Many children dream of being an astronaut and traveling to space, so Bricks 4 Kidz created an entire unit around space! Each week, students will learn about real-life space exploration and build a new model related to the NASA space program. Models include a satellite, a lunar module, a centrifuge which astronauts use to prepare for the physical sensations of launch, a treadmill which astronauts use to stay fit in space, and a "space robot". During this unit, students will learn some of the science behind launching things into orbit, will hear about the most-distant man-made object in the universe, and discuss what it is like to be an astronaut in space. Are you a budding astronaut? An adventurer who loves space exploration? Then you’ll love our Space theme projects. We’ll be building NASA astronaut training equipment, a space robot and more in this exciting eight week session. Let Bricks 4 Kidz launch your imagination to outer-space and beyond!
Cost is $105 including tax for 8 classes Cost includes custom minifigure

Acids ROCK, PAPER, SCISSORS
Inventing means curiosity! Leonardo daVinci started as an artist and developed many scientific observations that he recorded in his notebooks over the course of his lifetime. Children learn about his many discoveries and try their hand at his experiments from writing notes backwards, measuring human proportions, building a self-supporting arch bridge to building catapults. THINK FAST Inventing means cooperation! Orville and Wilbur Wright worked together to develop the first self-controlled motorized flying machine. Their team efforts also lead to improved bicycle pedals and faster sleds. Children review technological advances in flight and work together to produce improved paper plane designs.
WHIZ KIDS
Inventing means practicality! Inventions and patents to protect an invention were very popular in the late 1800s. Inventors Alexander Graham Bell, Thomas Edison and Nikola Tesla were locked in several battles over electrical inventions of their era. They talk about sound and learn that anyone, a child, woman or man, can be an inventor. The topic moves from simple devices to Rube Goldberg devices and the children perform as parts of a complex human machine! SCIENCE FICTION
Inventing means dreaming! Jules Verne and Isaac Asimove wrote about things that would be available in the future. These science fiction writers developed the reality of their current technology into future possibilities. The children develop submarines that rise or sink, wind-up space stations, and design safety capsules for payloads returning from space. They follow a telecommunications timeline and develop one for transportation.
