Touch Tethering and portable hotspot. Next to Portable Wi-Fi hotspot, move the slider from off to on (gray to green). 2. Under Connectivity, touch More settings. 6. On any Wi-Fi capable device, find the network created by the Samsung Galaxy Note ® II and select it to connect to the portable hotspot. 4. Review the introduction to the hotspot and touch Accept.

Portable Wi-Fi® Hotspot and USB Tethering

Using the Samsung Galaxy Note® II as a Wi-Fi® HotspotWhen you use your phone as a hotspot, up to 5 other devices—such as laptops, eReaders, tablets, and other Wi-Fi® capable items— can use your phone’s internet connection. Please note that this feature requires a subscription to a tethering plan.

1. Touch Apps > Settings.

5. Review the alert that Wi-Fi will be disabled and touch OK.

3. Touch Tethering and portable hotspot. Next to Portable Wi-Fi hotspot, move the slider from off to on (gray to green).

2. Under Connectivity, touch More settings.

6. On any Wi-Fi capable device, find the network created by the Samsung Galaxy Note® II and select it to connect to the portable hotspot.

4. Review the introduction to the hotspot and touch Accept.

Configuring the Wi-Fi Hotspot

1. While in the Tethering and portable hotspot menu in Settings, touch Portable Wi-Fi hotspot.

5. Touch Save to save changes.

3. In the Configure menu, you can view and change:

a. Network SSID b. Device visibility c. Security type d. Password e. Advanced options

2. Touch Configure. 4. Touch any option to change it.

1. Insert the standard USB end of the cable into the USB port on the computer. Insert the other end of the cable into the charging port on the phone.

5. Simply uncheck the checkbox next to USB tethering to stop tethering.

3. Touch the checkbox next to USB tethering.

2. Touch Apps > Settings. Under Connectivity, touch More settings. Select Tethering and portable hotspot.

4. Your Galaxy Note II will indicate that it is now tethered.
