In the Nishi-Chiba Tournament of the 2018 National High School Baseball Championship, Tokyo Gakkan Urayasu High School battled fiercely and advanced to the finals. Unfortunately, they lost and finished in second place, but the courage and spirit of our players impressed all of us. I sincerely applaud their great effort.

I have seen how the Tokyo Gakkan Urayasu High School team has fought in the games. I think that the attitude of not giving up under any circumstance, all the way to the end, even in a disadvantageous and unfavorable situation, made it possible for them to win many games until the finals, leading to the commendable outcome.

In addition, the advancing of Chiba Urayasu Minami High School in the games became a hot topic. That was indeed a very nice news as well.

At elementary, junior, and senior high schools throughout the city, many students dedicate themselves to various club activities, including sports. They are also active in organizations that span beyond school walls.

Urayasu City will aim to improve the environment for club activities through training leaders/coaches and developing facilities, and support all the students who are doing their absolute best.

commercial facility.● Confirm the safety of your family by using the Disaster Message Service.● Obtain information on traffic and the degree of damage.

Things to prepare on a regular basis● Carry around a portable radio and map.● Keep a pair of sneakers, a flashlight, gloves, drinking water,

and food handy.● Discuss with your family ways of confirming each other’s

safety, along with routes to meeting sites and the way home.Inquiries: Disaster Prevention Section, Tel: 712-6897
