What is the TactTiles solution?We supply an interlocking floor tile system called Bergo Tiles which act like a little raised ‘deck’ allowing water to drain through and away underneath. The tiles are made from polypropylene plastic which is very strong and easy to keep clean.

How does it work? The floor surface has holes which facilitate drainage and cleverly act as a grip for bare feet, making this floor both comfortable and safer than a conventional floor. The tiles are designed to allow the water to drain away underneath into the normal drainage channels.

Where can I use it? The tiles can be used both indoors and outside. They can be laid on any hard surface including paving slabs, concrete and of course worn ceramic tiles.

How do I clean them? Being made from polypropylene, the Bergo Tiles are naturally resistant against bugs and bacteria. They are also chemical resistant and UV stable. The floor can be hosed or washed down as required. Most pool operators find that regular cleaning is considerably reduced, but they do plan for an occasional deep clean (regularity depends on level of use).

To carry out a deep clean, sections of floor are uplifted using the Tools and often put into the pool when a backwash is taking place whilst the subfloor is cleaned.

Are they quick to install? Yes. TactTiles offer an installation service, including repair and sealing of the substrate if required. The majority of school and local authority pools can be completely refurbished in one week!

Where are they made? The tiles are manufactured in Sweden by Bergo Flooring for the highest quality of product. Naturally they benefit from chic Scandinavian designs too! TactTiles are Bergo’s UK Distributor – so for all Bergo flooring, talk to TactTiles.

How long will they last? Bergo Tiles are incredibly durable with a manufacturer’s Warranty of 10 years. However, in many domestic installations they have been known to last over twice as long. If a tile does become damaged, it is a very simple matter to replace it with a new one.

Are there different patterns and colours? Yes – there are 2 ranges, System 1 is a smaller tile with a seamless finish. This tile requires Expansion Strips to allow for thermal movement and is most popular for commercial pools such as schools and leisure centres. System 2 is a larger tile with more design options and a more muted colour range. The finish is rather more subtle and this tile is popular with hotels, spas and domestic customers.
