Taking IRMA to be a production system, the customers of it would be the organizations and corporations
coming to recruit participants every year and producer would be IRMA itself.
Taking into consideration first the customers perspective we analyze various points upon which the
customers gauge the products of IRMA and their fitness of use.
Producers perspectives
1. Rural sensitivity: incoming students to have sensitivity to working in rural areas and awillingness to work with rural population.
2. Accreditation: The institute should have valid accreditation from a reputed governing body inIndia
3. Course: the course and the pedagogy being used should be of comparable if not better standardsthan rest of the rural management institutes of India.
4. Infrastructure: the institutes facilities for its students and faculties alike should be conducive tofoster a learning environment and facilitate excellence.
5. Faculties: faculties of repute and with good credentials add a certain value of certainty andrelevance of probable products.
Customers perspectives:
1. Competency: well competent graduates with certain skill sets to make them fit for use as ruralmanagers
2. Rural sensitivity: incoming students to have sensitivity to working in rural areas and a willingnessto work with rural population.
3. Ethics and moral: the recruiting organizations are inclined towards IRMA for their students arehumble, down to earth and are inculcated with better ethics and humility.
Fitness for use
The outgoing students of the IRMA institute should be
1. Able to efficiently invest their skills and knowledge towards working in their respective jobs2. Able to justify the organizations investment(cost) in them and produce expected results3. Able to fulfill the organizations agenda whole heartedly and with dedication

Cost of poor qualityInternal failure cost: students not being able to maintain a desired point score are removed from
the batch, repetitive sessions by faculties as desired by students and also of exams or training
segments in case of failure due to delivery and performance

External failure cost: loss of reputation with earlier recruiting organizations due to attrition of
faculties at the institute or dissatisfaction with previously recruited students.
Cost of quality assurancePrevention: revising curriculum at various intervals to keep them relevant, proper monitoring ofstudents to ensure their consistent performance, consistent faculty development programs.

Define: the course structure is analyzed to identify the problems in the current syllabus and pedagogy.
Measure: our course is pitched against those offered by other institutes and also the standards of education
body in India. Feedback of students also taken into account
Analyze: finding out areas of improvement
Improve: new course is developed incorporating changes to meet expectations
Control: continuous monitoring is done to ensure earlier rectified mistakes are not being continued andquality is maintained
