pMp® exaM prepPrepare for the PMI’s Project Management Professional (PMP®) examination based upon the PMBOK Guide, 4th Edition Body of Knowledge. According to PMI, this certification is “globally recognized and demanded, the PMP® demonstrates that you have the experience, education and competency to lead and direct projects.” This course tracks to the exam based upon the PMBOK 4th edition that expires on July 31, 2013. Course includes: A review of the Domains, Task, and Knowledge and Skill Statements, practice exams for each domain with a detailed review of test questions, Reading and homework assignments. Tips for reducing test anxiety.

YOUR INSTRUCTOR

Cass Tang, PMP is the founder and President / CEO of All Project Solutions, Inc., a Pacific Northwest company serving clients nationwide since 2007. Cass is a senior advisor, consultant, and a mechanical engineer with over 25 years in industry, manufacturing, finance, healthcare, and technology. Commu-nication and creating organization out of chaos is her claim to fame and she has helped to stabilize and grow organizations and boards with key processes and intuitive know-how. Cass is past president of the Puget Sound Chapter of Project Management Institute, past vice-president of American Society of Mechanical Engineers and has provided training and management consulta-tion for many west coast and Pacific Northwest clients.

PREPARING FOR THE COURSE

■ Bring the PMBOK Guide, 4th Edition, highlight-ers, pencils, spiral notebook, a calculator, a laptop with WiFi capability. Exam study guide and online practice exams are included in the course fee.

■ Read PMBOK chapters 1 & 2 prior to the first class.

■ Submit your PMP Exam application (highly recommended) prior to the start of class.*

■ Eat protein rich meals two days in advance and during class days. Bring a sack lunch for a one hour lunch break. Snacks and beverages included in fee.

■ Clear your social, personal, and professional calendars for in class and evening study.

■ Commit to attending every class session for the entire scheduled time.

■ Plan on 2-4 hours of nightly study time outside of class.

■ Be prepared to pay hourly/daily parking fees in downtown Tacoma.

* To apply for PMP certification you must meet PMI’s education and experience require-ments, and complete 35 hours of project management education. This course meets the 35 hour education requirement. It is highly recommended that you apply for certification before the course starts as there is likely to be a large number of applications in review as the current exam expires on July 31, 2013.
