Dear Mr. Rivera:

Based on our recent meeting and discussions in regards to the InteramericanaUniversity - Bayamon Project Management training needs, MM ConsultingServices has prepared the attached proposal. This initial proposal focuses ineducating current UIA resources or leads in the official PMI methodology. Thegoal is to also use a live project example during the 4-day course in order tocome out with work that can be continued.

Mr. Rivera also stated his interest in obtaining formal knowledge in IT ServiceManagement and help to move his IT organization to a more service-focusedgroup. He sees this last item taking place during their next fiscal year.

Mr. Rivera also requested the possibility for us to offer a PM overview session to

create the awareness and business need within their organization. I am happyto announce that a 1.5 hour session can be offered to cover this need at no

cost at all. UIA will need to coordinate it and perform all the logistics work.MMCS only requires notification in advance and at least 2 possible dates tomake sure that we can accommodate it.

Approximately one week after the formal PM training, we will meet again to

discuss findings, recommendations and next steps which include things like liveproject mentorship and monitoring, education to additional UIA resources andStaff awareness among others.

Consulting Services Proposal

1. Company Profile and Introduction

MM Consulting Services (MMCS)provides strategic consulting services that add

true value assisting IT organizations in the following areas:

Program/Project Management. MMCS provides a realm of services in this

area which include: fundamental PM education, coaching for the PMP

certification, mentorship in already existing projects (crisis management)

and full Project Management execution. In this area, MMCS can also

help in the education and setup of the company PMO.

IT Service Management. MMCS can assist IT organizations in their

transformation to a service-based function. This includes education in

ITIL Foundation and Practitioner, initial assessment with documented

findings and implementation plan and the execution of such plan. In this

arena, we also assist IT organizations in the development and/or revision

of their Policies and Procedures.

IT Audit readiness. With the extensive experience dealing with different

type of audits, MMCS can help our customers get ready for such events

and support them through the process.

for the Project Management Fundamentals training. In the next pages, you willfind the required information in order to guide UIA in their decision making.

4. Proposal

Project Management Fundamentals(what we call PM101)

This is a full and intense 4 day class in which the student obtains a verystrong knowledge in the PMI PM methodology. The PMBOK is used toguide the course which includes the development of a project frombeginning to end. The main goal here is to learn the PMBOK PMmethodology and practice it through the course. The end customer canbring a project already started or about to start to use it as the role modelfor many parts of the course.

This course is essential for not only those beginning to manage projects,

but for those doing this function for some time now, but with no trueconsistent approach or certified methodology.

If the customer was to select only one, this should be it. The student can

then decide to go off and study for the PMP Certification exam which willbe required anyway.

If the customer organization wants their Project Managers or Leads toobtain the official PMP certification, we offer a course called PMPCertification Coaching. The intention of this course is to increase theprobability of the student passing the certification exam. Although we didnot speak about this throughout our meeting, we just wanted to bring it toyour attention in case needed eventually.

The minimum of students in a class is six. If the students represent different

sections of the business, then try to make sure that each business function orsection is represented. This will guarantee that each function has someone withthe knowledge, that can speak the same language as of the other PM or Leadsand the preaching can begin parallel throughout the entire organization.
