The heating is now on and it may be beneficial for you to bleed your radiators. Bathroom and toilet ventilation – for the ventilation to work with maximum

efficiency it is necessary to vacuum out the vents to remove all the accumulated dust.

Sore point – the food waste bins are still not in use yet, so please do not place any rubbish in these bins. The council will contact you when the scheme goes into operation.

Parking spaces are still in demand so if you own a space that you do not use please consider renting it to another resident.

Can we again request that any cat litter placed in the bin chutes is bagged. Loose cat litter down the chutes is disgusting.

What's happening on the Dock Dock Planters

The planters canal side outside Romulus and Galba and around the marina are being replanted with new plants. Additional work has also been done (or will be shortly) canal side outside Numa Court. The area at the rear of Nero Court will be considered next for extra projects. If you would like to be involved please contact the office and join the gardening group.

Clubroom Refurbishment

The entry times will be going to winter hours 1030am to 3.30pm when the clocks go back on Sunday 25th October (at 2am for information). The gate timer will not be changed until the following Wednesday when our electrician will be available.

• Many of you will have noticed the filming that has been taking place on the Dock. If you live in Otho or Numa Court, you may have been involved! This is the most prolonged filming that has been done on the Dock. The production is a drama for BBC3 with a working title of “Salma”. It is the story of an Asian love tale and will be on the television in early 2016. The income gained is always welcome as it can be used to enhance and improve facilities on the Estate (see below).

• Well done to Steve (lock keeper) and all those involved in the Great River Race, which raised £650 towards the RNLI.

• The lighting upgrade is nearly complete with walkway lights in Otho and Numa Court to be completed in the near future. The remaining street lights will be ordered shortly. The Dock Road lights are going to be cleaned and overcalled during the week commencing Monday 19th.

The clubroom refurbishments have now been completed. This includes a new studio room available for hire (pictured). With Wi-Fi and basic computer facilities available. This room can be hired for small events or short term office hire. The main room has new blinds and fold away tables. The floor has been deep cleaned and some tiles have been replaced. Both toilets have had a makeover with new units, polished floors and hand driers installed. To enquire about hiring these rooms please contact the office 02085685096 or [email protected]
