June 8th – June 16th Thank you for your interest in being a Commercial Vendor at the San Mateo County Fair. Please take time to review the application instructions and information. Application Instructions & Vendor Participation Information:

o Before applying please review our Vendor Handbook- www.sanmateocountyfair.com

o No vendors are granted exclusivity for their products.

o This application must be filled out in FULL. *incomplete applications will NOT be considered

o You must sign the application. If an application is not signed it will not be considered.

o This application does not guarantee a spot in our fair. Final selection of vendors is at the sole discretion of the San Mateo County Fair management team.

o You will be notified if you are selected.

o Please make sure all your information is accurate and current.

o A copy of your California Sellers Permit is required at the time of applying.

o All vendors must have insurance with the following statement included: “June 6th – June 17th, 2019 "The State of California; The San Mateo County Exposition and Fair Association; San Mateo County; entities (public or non-

profit) operating as California designated agricultural fairs; their agents, directors, officers, servants, and employees are made additional insured, but only insofar as the operations under this contract are concerned."

o You must include a recent photo of your booth set-up and products.

o Information about the products you are requesting to sell must be included in detail. Photos of the products are preferred.

Product explanation must be very specific. Simply listing “toys” or “accessories” is not okay.

o Vendors may only sell items that are pre-approved in your contract. All cutlery must be displayed behind plexi-glass- inaccessible to the public Promotional items, demonstrations and drawings must be approved by the Fair Management

Weapons of any kind (real or toys) are STRICTLY PROHIBITED

o If you are providing food samples- samples must be only 2oz and you will be required to have a health permit.

o You must provide a copy of your California Sellers Permit with your application.

o Please note your preferred spaces. Know that final location of booth space is determined by management and will be chosen based upon the best fit for your product.

o To avoid conflicts with line of sight for fairgoers displays may not go out further than 5 feet from the back wall of your booth. Displays must not go higher than the top of the back wall (8 feet). Vendors are responsible for keeping within their booth area. In addition, vendors are not allowed in the aisle way to promote products. – This will be strictly enforced.

o Vendors are fully responsible for their set up/installation, maintenance and disassembly of their booths. Vendors must be self-sufficient. Come prepared with your own handcarts, tools, equipment, fixtures (including tables and chairs), etc.

o Vendors are responsible for the cleanliness and maintenance of their booths throughout the duration of fair.

o Wi-Fi is available for purchase.

o Sound devices of all types must be approved. The volume of sound devices must be controlled so as not to interfere with neighboring booths.

o Someone must be manning the booth at all times. Vendors are required to be in operation from open to close.

o No vendor may set-up their booth before final payments and required paperwork is received.

o No vendor may break down their booth before closing hour on the final day.
