PNE was established in 2000 as a pilot program under the National Football League’s (NFL) Player and Employee Development Department (now known as Player Engagement). From 2000 to 2015

PNE was the sole career-related NFL Sanctioned Event.

Alignment PNE has been sponsored and endorsed by NFL Player Engagement, NFL Players Association, The

Trust and NFL Alumni in some form or fashion since inception.
