Mr. Laurent Burelle, Chairman, Plastic Omnium Group, Mr. Tarang Jain, MD, Varroc Group, Mr. Marc Szulewicz,

President Plastic Omnium Auto Exterior along with Customer dignitaries inaugurated the manufacturing facility of

Plastic Omnium Varroc Pvt. Ltd. at Chakan, Pune on 1st September, 2010.

Plastic Omnium Varroc is a Joint venture of Plastic Omnium Auto Exterior and Varroc Polymers for producing exterior

automobile parts in both thermoplastic and thermoset technologies.

The inauguration of the Chakan plant which became operational few months earlier was attended by Senior

Management Representatives of M&M, General Motors India, and Volkswagen India along with members of the JV

partner groups, suppliers and associates.

The dignitaries participated in Traditional Lamp Lighting ceremony to mark the occasion.

The guests visited the plant and the product galleries showcasing the technologies that will be available through POV

to meet the upcoming safety and environmental regulations in addition to offering substantial weight saving thereby

increasing fuel efficiency of the vehicles.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Tarang Jain elaborated on the growth potential of Indian Automobile Industry and the

need for setting up new plants equipped with latest and efficient technologies to cater to the ever growing demand for

the auto components.

Mr. Marc Szulewicz emphasized the importance of lean manufacturing and frugal engineering for sustainable growth

in the very competitive Indian Automotive market.

Mr. Laurent Burelle later expressed his satisfaction with the progress of the Joint Venture and thanked the customers

for their support.

Mr. Hemant Sikka and Mr. R. Sridhar from M&M, Mr. Mahesh Kodumudi and Mr. Ralf Lorenz from VW India, Mr. Tilak

Ahuja from GM India addressed the gathering with words of encouragement for the POV team.
