Planning the contents page

of my music magazine

Simple layoutHeadline will be in capitals and kept simple,The date will be written over it as well.The background will be in white because it is the opposite of black, which will be the colour of my front cover. So when the customer opens the magazine and goes from the black front cover to the white contents page he doesn’t think it is a gothic magazine which is all in black.The page number will show where the main article is to find. It will look a bit unusual because I want the numbers to match with the image.

The content or as I have written in the sketch, the features, will be in black and bold. The page number will be in a bigger font size and there will also be a small comment under the name of the article.The comment will be in a smaller font size.

In the orange rectangle there will be all the information about the free offer which is included in the magazine and also information about the prices you can win and about small articles in the magazine.

Images

Unlike the image of the cover of the magazine the image I want to use for the large bit of my contents page will not be a medium close-up shot, it will be a long shot or a medium shot.I also might use two

models for this image because it gives more life to it instead of just putting the picture of the same model, which is shown on the front cover, into the page.The outfit will be different to the outfit which the model is wearing in the front cover.

The models will wear a leader jacket, a cap, a bracelet and a white shirt or instead of the leader jacket a sleeveless shirt in white, black or blue.

The smaller image will show a DJ sitting in front of his equipment and wearing headphones while he is using the equipment.The reason why I want a picture like that is that I want one of my articles to be about how beat producers work.So this will be my second main article

Content

I will decide what my content will be when I took all my pictures and started actually making the music magazine, but I already have some ideas.

Examples for possible articles which might be in my magazine:- The secrets of producing a number one beat- Top 10 rap albums of the last 10 years- Dr. Dre exclusive interview- Newcomer of the year Yelawolf, all about his way to rap business- Lloyd banks tour thru the USA etc.

These are just ideas I might change in the actual producing process.
