Overview This short film is about a teenage girl who thinks the world is against her. She’s struggling with her family

situation and she is struggling academically.

After her day gets progressively worse, it

pushes her over the edge and gets to much for her.

Genre The genre for this is dramaTarget audience The target audience for our

drama is between the ages of 15-35. It appeals to both

genders however girls might find it easier to relate to

the main character. promotion Social media – we will

promote our final production on the social media pages we have set up. These pages

include Facebook and twitter. We decided to promote the final production on here

because our target audience is likely to use social

media, meaning we can reach out to them.

YouTube – we will also use YouTube to ensure we can reach out to our target

audience. We will be able to upload the video, so people can see it and again helps the appeal of our film.

Blogger – this is another way we can create awareness of

our product as there are many young adults and teenagers’

blogging so we can promote on this site too.

young females stereotypically. It will

present the vulnerability of young women and girls in this current day and age, and it demonstrates their emotional

struggle, alongside the limits they’re pushed to by

family, friends and academically.

How will the success of our product be tested?

The success of our product can be tested by the post productions questionnaires where people will see the

product and give us feedback on whether they thought it was good or not, and what improvements can be made.

Codes and conventions Pain – something that is a regular occurrence amongst

all dramas Struggle – this is again

something that is seen a lot, the story of everything

gradually getting worse for the character until she is

pushed to the brink. Close ups – this is to show

the emotion of the character. Soliloquy – this is a way in which we are able to gain an

insight as to what the character is thinking, and along with the characters

facial expressions we really feel in touch with her

emotions. Voice over – again another

way to gain an insight as to what a character is thinking.Lighting – the lighting is

used to match the mood of the film at the current time.

Constraints Time constraint – we do not

have a great deal of time to do this, which can limit us in what we can actually do.

Funding – we do not have much funds so we have to watch our budget attentively to ensure

we do not overspend. This again limits us in what we

can do. Equipment – if we do not have funds we will not be able to get completely professional

equipment that other filmmakers will have.
