Teacher Responsibilities Know the plans and evacuation routes Maintain control and supervision of

the Administrator of missing students Stay focused on the task ! The ALL CLEAR will be given by an

Administrator.

Full Campus Evacuation Required in the event of an extremely

dangerous situation or crisis

UPD will close Depot Ave and SW 6th ST

Evacuate to SW 6th Street adjacent to the PKY entrance gate

Elementary, Secondary exit via SW 6th ST gate

Baby Gator, Performing Arts, Business Office exits onto 11th Street --> Depot Avenue --> SW 6th ST

Power Outage Loss of communication systems Remain in your classroom with students Assess situation, i.e. weather conditions School will NOT dismiss. No class period changes until

school or cell phones during this time.

Severe Weather & Tornados

Tornado Watch - a first level alert - conditions are favorable for a possible tornado

Classes in portables will be moved to permanent structures

Outdoor activities will go to inside shelter

Daily schedule proceeds as normal

A high level alert - a tornado has been spotted in the area and the threat is now imminent

Secure classroom area Prepare for implementation of the

“Tuck and Cover” security position Normal schedule is suspended Await Administrative direction

wear a Visitor Badge Others are strangers and should be

OKAY. MEDICAL EMERGENCY - GET OR YELL FOR HELP, CALL OFFICE,

DO FIRST AID or CPR.  STRANGER OR ARMED PERSON ON CAMPUS -- CALL THE OFFICE RIOT, BOMB THREAT, TERRORIST THREAT -- CALL THE OFFICE   OTHER DISASTERS - CHEMICAL/GAS -- EVACUATE AREA
